This is what I like to hear from devs! It's completely understandable that you add in DLC. Updates can barely sell anything for you, just makes current fans happier and more willing to buy new games. I bought hookbot last game, and kinda wished I hadn't. It felt cheap to play as that character. I'm very glad that all DLC in this game will be cosmetic!
Update is Out What's New In Version 1.10 - Content Update: Four all new levels, infested with fungi! New hats, grappling hooks, secrets, and achievements! - Unlock requirements for the levels lessened considerably! Beating Dev Scores no longer required to unlock the Nightmare Levels. - Bug related to unlock progression fixed: Avalanche 2000 score wasn't meant to be required to unlock Burn Alley. Now used to unlock the Nightmare levels. - Use OpenFeint to back up your save, in the settings menu! Transfer your SQH save between devices! - Rate Us page added to Rocketcatalog. We tried to make it not annoying. There's a picture of a gnome in there. - "Beat one nightmare/developer score multiple times" bug fixed. - Interactive credits level!
Ohh the hotpants don't work with acid!!! But I love the fungus theme and the sound when you break the purple walls. Great update guys
since I bought Super QuickHook I have gotten re-addicted to Hook Champ all over again. I love both games pretty much equally, cuz both have different enough gameplay to be enjoyable, and they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. I personally love the 8-bit graphics of Hook Champ and don't care for the 16-bit of Super QuickHook as much, I don't know why, but an awesome update would be an 8-bit mode for Super QuickHook. I personally loved hookbot, cuz I was really getting annoyed with the rat levels, and hookbot allowed me to suck a little more without all the frustration of being eating right when you see the end. I would gladly pay for new characters, but they would have to be pretty awesome. I don't really care for the way the current characters look, but I like more abstract ones like hookbot and the like. I also love the different kinds of hooks, even more than the hats, I guess cuz you can see them better in-game. All in all, this is a wonderful sequel, and I would totally buy DLC to support you guys, you're doing a great job! I'm curious to see how you guys would handle making a different genre of game, but since you have done such a good job with this one, you probably should stick with what you are best at. Keep up the good work and I look forward to future updates!
actually you die quicker in acid than in lava, it was made this way oh and don't forget to check out the gnome telling you to review SQH
For those non-betaers out there who have the update: My name is the first in the credits level for the beta testers. No lie. XP
Hmm, seems as though two achievements are still unavailable...can't wait for the next update! Also, was wall breaking tweaked? It seems like you have to be going faster then you did before....
