Thanks for the welcome. I basically registered to voice my suggestions on Avalanche Mode. I haven't tried the Duel function yet, but it's nice to know that the level sequences will be identical for both players. Luck will still be a big factor when competing with one's own high scores, though. I agree that luck will always be inherent when levels are randomly generated, but there are ways of making it play less of a role.
I've been running the GM build since it was released and haven't noticed any differences. Make sure you're not downloading something in the background?
Update 1 (already submitted) changelog, verbatim: - Content Update: Four all new levels, infested with fungi! New hats, grappling hooks, secrets, and achievements! - Unlock requirements for the levels lessened considerably! Beating Dev Scores no longer required to unlock the Nightmare Levels. - Bug related to unlock progression fixed: Avalanche 2000 score wasn't meant to be required to unlock Burn Alley. Now used to unlock the Nightmare levels. - Use OpenFeint to back up your save, in the settings menu! Transfer your SQH save between devices! - Rate Us page added to Rocketcatalog. We tried to make it not annoying. There's a picture of a gnome in there. - "Beat one nightmare/developer score multiple times" bug fixed. - Interactive credits level! As soon as this update hits, we're submitting Update 2! More levels, more content, more fan requests!
Will we lose the grapple hooks if we attained them via this bug? I didn't even realize I'd used the exploit when I bought mine and I'm kind of attached to it now...
hmmmm Im not sure what it is about this game, but its much more addictive (imo) than hook champ. Hook champ took me like 3 weeks to beat all the levels.... but with super quick hook I finished everything in three or four days. CANT wait for the updates. @ Kepa: Do you think you will keep adding more endless levels, or will the Eruption be the only one? It would be really great if you made a new one every now and then
kepa, please make an easier Avalance Mode. i can't get pass 4300something after hours of playing. Maybe something like Dino Run?
Eruption will be the last one. After the Eruption update, our (currently mysterious) plan will be to make content that appeals to everyone. The hardest thing after eruption will most likely be around Magma Ruins difficulty, at the worst. Otherwise easier.
It's easier to complete the levels, since when you die you just respawn rather than getting a game over. Also, the levels so far have only really gotten about as difficult as Golden Bull was in Hook Champ. Just wait til the next update, it should give the vets a bit more of a challenge.
