Go rocket boost to the left at the beginning of the level and you shall find it.

    Ah, no big deal :D

Well thank you very much for all the tips. They've all helped immensely. I keep forgetting there's no rush in this game, so you're free to explore areas as much as you want, so I guess I forgot about that "exploration" aspect

Don't forget about the Get out of Here achievement...I'm not gonna spoil it for you, but it IS currently available, unlike the Secret Gold one.

Can you guys please refrain from telling about %'s and secrets in this thread. There is a thread in the other forum just for that. I want to read about the game and updates and all that good stuff, but I don't really want to see how to get to secrets unless I'm specifically looking for that answer. Thanks!

Finally unlocked the first nightmare level and completed it.

Is it just me, or are there subtle hints at certain parts of a level to show the best direction to go? I noticed it during the Sunset level with some broken pillars.

Yes, the broken pillars are a hint that you want to go up or down to find the best path and/or coins, etc. The stalagmites and stalactites are another subtle hint.

Has anyone else gone back to hook champ? For some reason I keep going back because it is infinitely more fun to me. Heck the mini gore levels are like video game crack.

Not saying Super isn't good... its ate a lot of time since its been out... but man, I loved everything about Hook Champ sooo much more.

After playing and adoring Super Quickhook, I decided to try out the Lite version of Hook Champ yet again, and I am still not enchanted by it like it seems a lot of people are. I enjoy it a little more now, but my general opinion is still the same on it: I am still not sure I want to buy it.

I think because it seems like Super Quickhook has a much bigger exploration aspect. Hook Champ seems like it has a sort-of exploration aspect, but in Super Quickhook, you do actually have to go out of your way to get to secret areas, which I really like.

Also, I find Super Quickhook much more addicting because of the challenges they put forth. Trying to beat developer scores, finding all the coins, and finding all the secrets: All of these things are really fun and addicting to do (though admittedly, I suck majorly at the developer score things).

But to each his own :)

I was lucky enough to beta test. qpawn was one of the most active/helpful testers. Had he just downloaded the game on Thursday, I have no doubt he would have at least 97% of the high scores right now (3% for TheSporkWithin's magma ruins triumph, which qpawn has probably already overtaken).

Also, when he decides to post an Avalanche! score, it will be epic.

I wouldn't like to see his score

it would break the maximum number of digits :p

kepa, in HC, qpawn was a legend, and still is.
why not have a character mention him in the inn, or in the credits level, let you find his sockpuppet wife as a secret? (and some pizza rolls to steal :p)

I was going to say the same thing. :D qpawn really has a knack for this style of game, and if he hadn't played this during the beta, he easily would have reached #1 (on all levels) in a very short amount of time after release.

I kind of have to agree with you. I absolutely love HC, and it will forever remain one of my favorite iPhone games -- scratch that, one of my favorite games of all time. That is probably more so that it was such a new game to me at the time, and I spent a lot of time playing it, and battling qpawn. I haven't really played HC for a long time, though, and I think I'm pretty much done playing it at this point. But I really enjoyed the hardcore nature of HC.

That said, SQH is a pretty sweet game. I wasn't sure at first, but watching it evolve through the beta test, I can say that I am really impressed with what the Rocketcat folks have done. And I like the fact that it was designed in such a way that it is much easier for them to add to the game (like new levels).

However, I think I fall into a small minority that prefers the feel-of-the-swing in HC better than SQH. I still can't get used to the (small) amount of rope slack. I may be the only one at this point, as everyone else seems to prefer the SQH swing mechanics.

I know how you feel about the rope slack, it throws me off a bit

the other thing that kinda bugs me is the fact that I occasionally rely on the cieling in HC to stop my rocket jumps, on here, I just keep going

I'ts good that all of the beta testers will be in the credits

This person speaks the truth. I would also appreciate it if people would post in the help thread on General Game Discussions.

And if you do post percentages and secrets here, at least make your text white so people have to highlight it to read
