Hats aren't tied to your OF account yet, but we're adding in OpenFeint Save Backups in the first update. We want to submit the update on Friday or Saturday.

    Oooh...

Save backups too? Does that mean that we can access our save files from other devices like an iPad?

He meant actual ingame coins, not dollars :p Upgrades in Hook Champ were quite a bit more expensive then they are now, either that or coins were harder to come by, not to sure which it is now :p

All I can say is that it took me quite a bit longer to get all the upgrades in Hook Champ, while I've now maxed out everything but the Snorkel and I'm still working on unlocking the final 2 nightmare levels :)

Ah yes, noticed that as well, found out that happens when you hook a breakable wall, break it and then drop straight down.

Anyway Kepa, props on yet another awesome game :D

Chalk me up as another "really enjoying this game" as well as a "why the hell didn't I buy the original on sale when it first came out!" game fanatic.

(Feel free to call me a dork, but I played through the HC Lite version and just didn't get hooked on it... I am liking SQH much better! :))

As far as I know, everyone who plays HC Lite doesn't like it. I didn't.

HC is on another level though, and I think playing through all of HC should be a requirement before you play SQH :)

I agree! having just done that (almost). Tho some of those hatbox (read:all) levels, if you look up the definition of frustration in the dictionary, you see an image of jake tumbling through space fumbling for his grappling hook.

What is so different between the lite and full versions? Did the levels get more interesting? Or is it just because there are MOAR HATS? ;)

Yeah, with save backups you'd be able to transfer your own saves between devices. And load old saves if reinstalling the game completely.

We never did really figure out what was wrong with the Lite version. There's lots of people that hate the Lite, get the Full version of Hook Champ anyway, and then love the game. Lite's just the full version, but only the first 7 levels or so and less upgrades... one theory is that we were too generous with the Lite. On the other hand, we have a really, unusually high conversion rate for Lite -> Full people... the main problem with the Lite was just not enough people got it. You see other game's lites have like 10 lite downloads for every full download, but for us, we had more full sales of Hook Champ than Lite downloads... really odd.

Well unlike SQH, you had to upgrade your equipment quite a bit to really get the hang of things, and the lite just didn't afford people that ability. I think if the lite started you out with everything fully upgraded, it would have left a better impression on people.

But I still have never seen more people say they hated a lite so much, but then bought the full version anyway for some reason, and then fell head over heels for the full. Pretty weird

    EDIT: What Kepa said :)

Ahahaha for sure. Have you beaten Silver yet?

@Kepa @Drelbs I really can't explain what it is about the Lite. Because as Kepa said there's only a small difference..I just don't know. Never came across a game where I hated the lite and loved the full. Who knows, mystery of the AppStore universe I suppose

I've beaten the dev scores in the first 10 levels, but I can't find the secrets. If I have a gold emblem on a level, it's because I cracked the top 5 (Blind Peaks and Sunset Path).

Not sure why people have so much trouble beating the dev scores - it's not that hard if you just work through some trial and error (and pick up all the coins).
