iPad Super QuickHook (by Rocketcat Games)

Randomly came across this thread and fired it up for the first time in quite a while.

Oh My God! Still as fresh and addictive as ever.

Count me as someone that would love an update. Just to get rid of Openfeint and widescreen it up.

I loved Openfeint. They were good days

 

I had never even heard of this game before. I'm buying it. Maybe some new purchases will get their attention hehe

Touch Arcade needs to make some kind of thread with stickies for all the major games like this. I would have never seen this game without seeing this. This is a damn fun game. I love Avalanche mode.

Rocketcat will always make great games, but the Hook Series was their prime. We need Game Center support!

 

Amazing that this game still completely holds up. So psyched that I redownloaded and playing through again.

If you love Avalanche mode, you should definitely try Hook Worlds. It's based off the Avalanche mode from Super Quickhook and tons of fun. REALLY though, you should get the entire Hook trilogy from Rocketcat. As another commenter mentioned, in my opinion its when they were at their best. Everything they release is gold but I go back to the Hook games more than any other.

 

I just can't believe a game that hasn't been updated since 2011 actually works so well on my IPhone 6 lol. I'll pick up their other Hook games. I checked related and see them.

For me though, without a doubt, my favorite rocketcat game is PunchQuest. When I had an android device I honestly cannot tell you how much I spent in that game. Lol. I had everything unlocked. I had so many mixes of hats. Unfortunately when I switched to the IPhone I just couldn't spend the money again. I can't wait for Punch Quest 2. I'm excited they said it's coming.

I've been wanting to buy this game for a long time and just couldn't get myself to do it because of the long time without updates. Now with apples new policy on old apps, I feel even more desire to buy it while it still here.

I'm almost there but I see some reviews on the AppStore complaining about the game not saving and losing progress. Those reviews are a couple of years and a few iOS versions ago so I'm looking for some details about how it's running on today's devices and iOS.

Well I played yesterday. I unlocked Avalanche mode and ghost mode and beat the first two levels. I'm using the Iphoone 6 running IOS 9.3.5 and I just checked and it's saved just fine. Everything is ok. It really is a fun game.

I'm on 5S and iOS 10.0.2, no problem. This sunday i'll buy iPhone 7+, i'll let you know but i don't think there will be problems.

No. I haven't deleted anyone. As I said I played majorly on Android. When I switched over I could spend $50 again. So I really didn't play much. I do have it. Maybe I'll just buy the punchos doubler.

Definitely one of the best mobile games i've played. Good to know there is a sequel coming. Great news, man.

 

Rocketcats Hook Trilogy really needs to be updated, maybe if he is too busy someone else could step in and give him a hand.
