Sure thing i cant wait for the next games. But i love SQH so much that i can't imagine it without future updates
Woot, I just took number one on the dwarven door level I actually think it's easier than eruption mode.
There's a lot less sections to memorize. Dwarven Door is only the hardest sections from Eruption, which were the Ruins sections. There's only 20 different sections from that landscape type, maybe 25. So far I've had one single taker on people with any sort of lag problem that want to beta test a solution for it. Could use more, if anyone has any sort of bad slowdown issue.
Got #13 on zig zag horror (Had to get plutocrat jake on the leaderboards like I did all over the place in Hook champ) when I finally could complete the level in one go. Unknown fate was a joke to complete compared to zig zag, but I did like the comeback of the rings from the forbidden hat levels in hook champ. Zig zag was on the level of difficulty of forbidden hats silver. That was what I was looking for and I just wanted to tell kepa that I love that level of difficulty even though I know that most of your playerbase cannot complete a level at that difficulty in one go. Openfeint only has 1406 people scored on the level compared to the 24k for meadow pass and 14k for pantslide pass. That could be attributed to loss of the players after release but this also trended for the bull and forbidden hat levels in hook champ. On to try and get a highscore on eruption and unlock dwarven door hopefully. Also gnomey takes some time to get used to because his size is so different from the normal characters that his hooking is a little awkward.
I got all my achievements so far and I took a pretty long hiatus and came back after this last update. Just need to beat the dev score on eruption =D
Next Update Update: I've been trying to get people with lag issues to beta test an experimental fix for those issues. The problem is that whatever's causing this problem is apparently extremely rare. I only found one single volunteer so far. So what I'm doing is emailing every person that's ever contacted support with a lag issue. Total number of emails: 10 or so. Responses so far: 1, who said the lag cleared up for him. Besides that, we'll also have some new hats and a possible "make your iPod explode" particle count mode. By trying to find a fix for an issue we're not even totally sure exists, we have been making some pretty huge optimizations to the engine. Right now I'm running Super QuickHook with 5 times the particles as normal, on my iPod 2g, while also having it run more smoothly than ever.
Yeah Im just missing those two achievements. Theyre both based off of other achievements, finder of secrets and beating dev scores i suppose. Just missing the Finder of secrets Gold Achievement and Final of Victory of Eagle mountain. I tried redoing the levels and still nothing. The gold helmet and secret level are obviously still locked for me because of this. thanks kepa!
I'd say that pretty stupid. Nearly every console and PC game, and most iPhone games drop in price when they get old. Personally I've never been annoyed when a game I've bought went down in price (and I definitely won't feel that way with this game either, because it's worth more than 3$ anyways). If a sale can make more people enjoy this game (it definitely will), I'd say go for it.
While I see your opinion, and I do agree that if the price is right, more people would jump on it, I think that the majority that bought a game at full price to see it get cut down get really mad. While sales make people that didn't already buy something happy, it can make someone who spent $20 on a game like CoD:Zombies to see it go down to $5, it can make you go "damn, I wish I had waited to buy that" which is exactly what happened to the previously mentioned CoD:Zombies. When Activision, in some form of a miracle, reduced the price of it to $5 for all the maps many of the reviews on the day it was changed to "ZOMYGOD I PAID $20 AND NOW ITS $5 CHANG3 IT AND I WILL RATE 5*!!!111"
It's just common sense that a game drops in price when it gets old. People shouldn't expect it to stay at the same price forever (unless it was announced at launch, as with this game). People would only "waste" one or two dollars in SQH anyways... It would be better for everyone if they didn't announce that no pricedrop thing in the first place. Probably for those who paid full price too, because of more updates (cause more people would buy it). Look at Angry Birds for example, when it was 1,99 it wasn't a very popular game. What would have happened if that game didn't receive a price drop?
I'm new to this game. How do you equip upgraded items? Are they equipped as soon as you buy them in the shop? Sorry for the n00b question.
Yes they auto-equip. The only thing that you equip in this game are hooks and hats and none of those have any effect on the game they don't make you go any faster or anything.
