i like eruption mode also, but mostly because that lava stuff is not so close to player like Avalanche. so it does not steal the focus. i also think that Eruption is better and more fun than dwarven door. and beating all dev highscores is really rewarding, because that helm is very useful to keep the focus on the character.
Do you have to beat the Avalanche and Eruption modes dev scores to get the Dwarven Door. I just started trying to beat the normal level scores and I only have like 5 left, but I'm terrible at Eruption and Avalanche mode.
Yes, you have to beat all objectives and developer scores. The only thing I don't like about the eruption is how it tints everything red.
Yes, but you'll need the practice that eruption gives you to beat Zigzag and Unknown fate's dev scores. Here's a helpful hint: get really good at eruption. If you get 8k in that then 8k in avalanche is easy. I was at 2k in avalanche and then I tried out eruption and my sccore doubled to 4k then I started getting 2k every time in eruption and I beat 8k, by a lot. Almost 4k more than needed.
i had a lot of problems with beating dev score on Avalanche, but on Eruption it was very easy to do. i think that speed of Eruption is a bit more forgiving than of Avalanche. and i would say that all developer scores were very easy, except Avalanche, it is too distracting.
I am returning to the game. Dodonpachi really hooked me along with some intense league of legends play. I bought all the dlc to support kepa and crew and I will be pushing those high scores soon hopefully.
Good luck! I wish I could say the same as I haven't played the game since mid-July. But I don't see myself returning at this point.
Also it seems they changed platinum to top 25 so some of my scores were in that range and I have a few more platinums than I did before. Double the hats to buy too. I look forward to messing with some of the new levels and the challenge of eruption mode.
I'm a fan of the Hermit, though Super QuackHook (and Gnomey) is definitely useful for Eruption and Dwarven Door. One thing I find sort of weird is hook preference. Don't know why, but Silver Star is my all-time clutch hook. The World's Best Axe, Golden Fancy, and Magnificent Hook are also favorites. Since any difference among hooks is cosmetic, it must be the shape and width that make some just feel more solid and 'right'. Hook on.
I have now Golded everything except Avalanche and Eruption. Only I'm no where close with those two, my high scores are like 3700 on Avalanche and 2400 on Eruption. Any tips?
