It's all freaky psychological nonsense but I HATE patterned/scripted levels, even when really cleverly done. The idea of just repeating the same layout over and over and over makes me wacky.
more than 5000 meters and that's not enough to beat developer score and even avalanche gold, because of rare coins and speed behaves a bit different, at 1.20 it is greatly increased but falls down in very short period of time. That's why it is getting so close to the player very fast at that mark. edit. finally, avalanche gold. was good run, but then geyser worked bad, jumped to the wall, not passage.
They're absolutely different. Eruption is the harder version of Avalanche and Ancient Dwarven Door is the harder version of Eruption. It provides endless modes with advancing difficulty, which is exactly what the game should be doing. Yes. Local Celebrity is the achievement for beating Dev scores. Gold requires 18 of them, I believe.
Eruption in some sense is easier mode, because the difficulty of this mode keeps you always concentrated. Yes u should learn more than for Avalanche but that's not so hard.
This is a very happy moment for me. Before this weekend my best in avalanche was around 4800. On the train riding back up to college I FINALLY beat that score with around 6500, then again up to 6800. Now I've been playing it non stop on sunday/monday. Then about an hour ago, I finally achieved gold with a score of around 9050 (ish). This still didn't beat the devs score. Two games later, I've entered the top 100 (rank 72) with a score of 10679. Very happy moment for me. This game is so amazing, so great. I love you Rocketcat games. Keep it up and you'll have a lifelong fan
Congrats! Try playing Eruption mode and it'll really hone your skills. Before update 1.3 I struggled to beat the Avalanche gold score too, but now I regularly hit scores of 15k+ every time I enter Avalanche mode.
I'm getting close to unlocking Dwarven Door! I only need to finish off Eruption, ZigZag Horror, and Unknown Fate. Wish. Me. LUCK! PS: Can someone help me with finding coins in Rancid Hell?
Thanks Nightmare... I thought it may be one requiring global top 5... #38 in Avalanche: So close yet so far... EDIT: Beat local celebrity gold on to beating all dev scores... On a separate note has anyone experienced a glitch where instead of sliding after landing your character keeps running even when you aren't touching the screen. It's only happened twice so I think it is rare. K thanks.
I finally beat all the developer scores, but it doesn't register my achievement. Do I need to be connected to wifi for this to kick in? EDIT: It's all good - turns out wifi was the issue.
That's a lot to go. Zigzag is probably the hardest level in the game, it took me 21 minutes to clear when it first came out. Even after playing it over and over I still die at least once 70-80% of the time. I don't know coin locations off the top of my head but if you PM me or post specific levels you need help I can do a quick run through and try to post some information. I'm sure other people could, too. I can't check right at the moment, though. Nothing in the game requires global top 5 anymore. Platinum medals only require top 25, and there aren't any achievements that are tied to them anyway.
I already beat the dev score for lethal halls so all I need is coin locations. Blind peaks I can beat no prob I just need to know the coin locations. Rancid hell has a similar story to it. Zigzag and unknown I just gotta keep trying until I get a good run on them, I've gone from 20:00 to 1:30 on a level before. Eruption I'm slowly getting good at, I'm even in the 10k club for avalanche because of eruption.
You beat the Lethal Halls dev score without having all the coin locations? Instead of listing all the coins, I'll just list the ones I assume you're having trouble finding. In Lethal Halls, ~55% (right as you swing past the first spike signaling for you to drop down) drop all the way to the floor and collect 5 coins before sliding into a spring. Blind Peaks isn't very tricky so I'm surprised you're having trouble. I assume you're missing the large batch at the end, so they're the only ones that are somewhat off the trail. After sliding through the second large batch of coins, notice 3 pointer spikes coming up out of the ground. Follow their lead and boost 3 times way up to the ceiling to grab the last batch. Rancid Hell: After the part where you slide across a large mushroom and gather coins, right before you hit the following steam geyser, use a rocket boot. You want to jump over the steam geyser and straight into the acid where you'll collect about 10 coins. Once you grab them you're going to need to quickly boost again then hook onto the mushroom that should come into sight.
Nice! Don't worry though, I plan on mastering Eruption next. I'm going through every other stage to get gold in them all first. I already had gold in most of the levels. Just found the secret in Unknown Fate and now I've found all of the secrets. Left to do: Coins + dev score in Lethal Halls, dev score in ZigZag Horror (fun, fun), Coins + dev score Rancid Hell, Eruption Silver/Gold. Which leads into my next question: I'm having a bit of trouble with Lethal Halls. I've only been able to get 55/60 coins. Any idea where the last five are? I already got the ones where you fall into the pit where if you go left, the secret is (but instead you go right and rocket boost once, and you'll land near five coins). Any idea where the last five are? (after this I've got the dev score in the bag! I'm within 150 points of it anyways even without five coins).
Around 75% you slide under a row of spikes and there's an arrow signaling for you to go up. Boost to go over the next spike wall that you're supposed to slide under and grab 5 coins. On another note, that emergency bug fix has been in review for what, like 2 days now? :\
