for myself, i appreciate the "blitz mode", as it doesn't make the original MAMC obsolete. i'm definitely not going into a IAP discussion with adult-swim games... i'm just saying: "thank you, thats really amazing fun for a buck!"
Awesome SV! I'll just stick to my 1.4M right now. Im not really hooked to this one's blitz gameplay. The upgrades and objective system is what makes this good now, but overall it doesnt feel that great compared to the first. The first was just too enjoyable overall for me.
I am at level 9 or 8, done 191 million points, I really liked the slower pace of the other one and I dislike having to pay so much, already bankrupt
Lv 12, highest score 183 mil, confused about dog block Loving every moment, though new monsters could gave been cool And being able to buy new blocks with coins , also hope at the end of the level ranks that endless mode is unlocked. I played that thing too..shanghai thingie..cost 10,000 coins and I didn't even get a high school.. Broke my heartiesss. Not doing that again!
Looks like they are just responding to Wired's comments about the state of mobile gaming: http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2012/09/life-after-disc-digital-coins/
Completely agree. I wasn't sure whether to get this but having loved the first one so much, decided to get it afterall. The 2-minute gameplay does make you move faster, but it isn't grabbing me. I would have paid for an IAP to add the mode to the original. This just seems a bit like a money grab to me. I know this will annoy those saying that everything can be earned, but it just has the overall feeling of a freemium app for some reason. Won't stop me from playing it. Just prefer the original and, if anyone is choosing between this and the original, get the first MAMC. Now.
Was this game tested at all on an iTouch 4th gen device? It can barely play with FPS stuttering and then crashes!!! Come on!!!!
?? No issues here on my 4th gen touch... even handled iCloud transfers great. The only time it crashes is when I try and post my score to twitter or FB, other than that, I have only had minor framerate issues, and that's only when there's loads going on during the game (during large diamond combos) - and I didn't clear my multitasking bar or do a hard reset either... ??
Great (and more than a little depressing) article. Thanks for sharing it... As for the game, I LOVE AS and MAMC, but I think I'll be sticking with the original based on what I'm reading in the thread. DBC
Ok Syntheticvoid Thanks for the info there I think I'll delete it and then re- download Perhaps a corrupted DL
I'm loving Super MAMC.... I know I'm in the minority here, but I just can't help it. I would have loved if it was an IAP add-on in the original, but I'm still happy with it, and enjoying the hell out of it. The new additions are great, and the timed gameplay adds even more strategy and difficulty to the game and, granted, I'm not too sure how I feel about the IAP coins, I did purchase the coin doubbler and haven't run out of coins and have always been able to pick the 3 power-ups that I want to use in the game, in every game. I'm hooked on the leaderboards again, and the games, even though short, are still a blast, and quite different from the original.
Haha! (Triplepost) is this game good if I liked original, but felt they went to long??? And how is the iap situation? Not planning on getting coin doubler...
yeah, sorry bout that, should have just edited. =oP And yes, this game is perfect if you felt that the original games went on too long, or could move too slow... I'm not sure about playing without the coin doubler, but I just hit 1.5 billion without any upgrades (was originally just playing to complete an objective) - so getting high scores without spending coins is completely possible.
