Earlier today I purchased Super Monkey Ball and was excited to play it when the App crashed upon reaching the Startup splash screen and returned me to my Springboard.
I visited Sega's support site and the only suggestion is to restart the device. I did that and it's still crashing when I start it up?

Could somebody please help me out here as to why it's doing this and how to fix it?

    Cheers for reading.

Hmm... That has only happened once before to me. Just one question: did you touch the screen while the splash page was going up?

Nope, I did the first time then didn't the other times I tried. Should I or shouldn't I?
    And any other ideas?

Because monkey ball is a big game, I would delete it off your iphone, Plug in to itunes, Re-download (they won't charge you) and sync through itunes. Do a reset of the device and let me know what happens...

You should never touch the screen on splash screen load-up in SMB. That could be why it crashed. Try removing it like the other guy said then try putting it back on and see if it works. You should not have to go through the hassle of resetting your touch or iphone.

I've tried everything that's been suggested, yes. I've rebooted completely, deleted the App and downloaded through my Phone, delete the App and downloaded through iTunes.

    Nothing has worked so far.

    EDIT: Yes, it is Jailbroken.

Try removing it from ur touch or iphone and then put it back on. If that dosen't work i would suggest calling apple.

Delete some music or videos from you iPhone.

I had a problem before they updated the firmware with constant crashing. I looked it up and found that the iPhone needs about %10 free memory to run properly. I just make sure to leave 1 gig empty. I never have crashes now.

It might just be coincidence. I bet if you try it, though, it'll work.

okay, speaking as if your iphone was not jailbroken, you only have 50 mb or so cache, so that if you have something like 4 safari pages cached, and try loading a big game, it will crash

so my only solution would be, and i dont know the file system and cache situation for jailbroken phones, would be to shift more resources for your cache/memory

I have about 13Gb free memory on my device so it's not like it's full up or anything?

How exactly would I shift resources for my cache?

In your settings, go to safari, and there is an option at the bottom of the screen to clear the cache.
