I just unlocked the final rainbow bridge. There is now a Mario statue on my list which requires 3500 Reds to unlock, and a Luigi statue which requires 2500 Greens!
Anybody else interested in starting a class-action lawsuit against Nintendo for this game? I haven't downloaded it yet, but I did play Mario as a kid and just seeing Mario turned into an auto-runner in the screenshots sort of traumatised me. My doctor's since put me on Xanax but I won't really feel better unless I forget this game exists. All of this has just made me reminisce on the recurring dream I used to have in the summer of 1993 where I would ride Yoshi from my room into the kitchen where my mum was baking cookies cut out in the shape of Bowser. I would get close to the Oven and Yoshi would pull out his metre long tongue and burn himself when going for a cookie. The point I'm trying to make is that just like in the games, Yoshi was standing in the same place. He wasn't still auto-running when I got to the oven and he didn't cost $10 to unlock. This game is nothing like the game I played on my SNES. It's nothing like the dream I used to have. To me, Mario is now no more than just another plumber that charges me a fortune to unclog my toilet after drunken night out.
Sure, go for it. Just don't hire Apollo Justice, he's fallen into Internet requirement too. ## #Objection!# ...Apollo Justice requires Internet even though the DS game probably got pirated already... sorry, I couldn't help falling out of "ha ha funny" mode and back into "what are they thinking doing this" mode. They can't justify that. The game was pirated years before release, yet they punish customers now? This is madness.
I know I said earlier that I can't see people who've unlocked the full game running out of rally tickets as they'll gain through normal play and by the time they beat the tour they'll have unlocked bonus houses and blocks and how i felt that I had more than enough. Yeah, I've just ran out of tickets, I don't have blocks or houses until six hours from now and I'm struggling to get the black coins to earn a couple from there. Kind of frustrating as I'm not in the mood to play tour as I only need black coins now and it'll take multiple run through to clear one level, which I do find fun when that's what I want to do, but when I'm not in the mood I don't want it to feel like a chore if that makes sense. So I'm putting the game down for the night as I can't claim any with my intends points as I've already used them today and will collect from bonus houses etc, but if I get a repeat of today's haul (only 10 from mega block and coins from the others, then five from bonus houses) from them I'll be out of tickets again by lunchtime and will have to wait until the eight hours of passed. I still really love the game, but have to admit it's frustrating being made to either wait for bonus houses and blocks to reopen or spend ages trying to get blacks coins for a couple of tickets....
My guess is this happens due to connection issues with your supplier. Try going to airplane mode and back, to try and link to a new antenna.
Man, once you get all the black coins the game really hits a drag. The good news is the fun I had getting there was well worth ten bucks.
So, need to ask this again, although the new friend run option seems to make it obvious. But you're actually not running against your asynchronous friend's run of a level, but against an AI with the friend's avatar slapped on? That would kind of destroy the whole purpose of the Rallye modes, no?
Is there any reason for me to play the game after collecting all the coins? I don't like building stuff and I'll run out of rally tickets eventually..
I thought the same initially about eventually running out of rally tickets, but now I find myself having problems getting rid of them... It's gotten so bad that when I open the large ticket crate at around 80 rally tickets in case it gives me 20, instead it provides me with 30. (I've done a ton of runs already too, so at this rate it's getting overwhelming.) Even now I have the other two crates waiting since I'm still at 95 rally tickets total.
I felt the same a few days ago too, but ran out of tickets yesterday, and couldn't get any more from blocks or houses until early hours of morning, I'd already used mynintendo points on them so didn't have that option. I've only gotten 20 tickets this morning from the houses and blocks and I've used them already. I'm lucky in that I still have black coins to get, but to be honest, the mu,triple play through one level takes to figure out where the black coins are, and then get them all in one run takes ages and doesn't feel worth the effort for two tickets. The link coins were easy to get and the purple ones not too bad, but the blacks are a pain in the arse. Collecting them as a way to get tickets feels like work for me and it's something I like to do when I'm the mood for that. If I want to play rally then I have to wait until the houses and blocks refreshes and even then I may get only a small amount. That big block gave me 50 tickets on the first hit, and then I've only gotten 10 every time after.. I felt like I'd never run out because I was focussiing on the purple coins and was earning more than I used, but I now see where people are frustrated esp when they can't even earn more tickets by collecting coins. ATM I have the option of spending half an hour doing one level for black coins for two tickets, once that's all done there's no other choice but to wait. I don't like using walkthroughs but I'm very tempted to watch Andys black coin ones before attempting the levels as I'll at least not need to restart over and over to see where they are hidden, and can get the two tickets quicker, but then I'll feel lied I've cheated. I dunno what the answer is, but I do see where people are coming from now, maybe a few tickets for replaying a bowser level, or even a couple hidden in coin blocks in normal levels, or some given for completing special courses. I dunno, I do feel there should be a way to earn them after collecting all coins other than waiting for the houses, or maybe have the bigger block guaranteed to give 50 tickets after collecting all coins in tour? I dunno.
I've ran out two days in a row now and I still have black coins to get. I can see people running out more easier when they don't have the collecting all coins to earn a few anymore. The gift blocks seem random as sometimes you'll get 50 from the big one, but other times 10. 10 is ok when you're still getting the pink and purple ones from tour, but when you hit the blacks it becomes tricky and can requires several play throughs, but if you're wanting a break from the black coins, or finding them too difficult, unless you're getting the number of tickets it's quite possible you'll run out. I never thought I'd be out of tickets, but here I am. Wanting to play toad rally and I can't u til the timers on the houses and blocks are reset, and even the amount I can play tomorrow is just luck as I could get a low amount again.
Lol man I must be really crappy then, I'm tying to get the purple coins still , and for some reason I seem to want to get all the purples at least before I move to the next level , prolonging the game for myself.
