Irony is, he's got a point, and pretty much everyone knows it. The Wii has way too many cheaply made, pointless and boring rehashed cash-ins aimed at young children. The Nintendo seal of quality no longer exists.
And a cigarette. You are going to need it after you finish experiencing something like Galaxy 2. I hope you know what I'm talking about
Almost. Just add huge muscles, dashing good looks, and several hot girls. Pretty much what I was trying to get at.
BTW, if anyone here "doesn't trust" Gamespot or IGN, Eurogamer and EDGE reviews are up too. Guess what the game got Gametrailers was also pretty great, but their video review has a lot of spoilers. Mass Effect 2 vs Galaxy 2 is going to be a kickass battle for GOTY, unlike last year which was pretty damn terrible for gaming.
I'm leaning towards Galaxy 2 since my new room has space for a console so I could actually keep my Wii set up and make some use of it... but I'm thinking GOTY for me is RDR. I'm at 2 days 9 hours play time already... addiction much.
I definitely have. Mostly multiplayer, though. Free roam, messing around with random people. Wait, when does SMG2 come out? I saw it for sale at Sam's Club, and I thought release day was this weekend?
Came out yesterday. Haven't seen all the tv commercials? I've never seen so many for a game. Good thing though
http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/wii/supermariogalaxy2 Wowzers. I don't usually put that much weight behind reviews (unless it's ebert) but seeing all those 100% scores is pretty shocking. I honestly thought it was going to be a lackluster sequel. Damn, now I want to get it...
Yeah it seems to be a worthy sequel. I'm still trying to work out what makes it different from the first game, all the videos I've seen seem to be a case of "more of the same". Not that the original content wasn't worthy of high scores anyway, but usually games that repeat the same formula so closely get marked down slightly, so there's gotta be something I've missed. I'm now leaning towards buying due to a strange obligation of just "being a gamer". I don't think anyone would take me seriously on the subject if I hadn't played one of the biggest games around. I'm sure I'll enjoy it though, I liked the first one.
Is not really shocking considering that this game was developed by the best, most imaginative development team in the industry (EAD Tokyo).
