Super Mario 3D World

It'll be a system seller for sure, as will Mario Kart 8. God knows the Wii U could do with shifting more units fast!

 

Can this game be played entirely on the gamepad?

 

Yeah the game looks good. We don't have a WiiU yet. Maybe this will push us over the top, especially if there's a new bundle that includes it.

Looks interesting but I wont be playing it.

I bought a Wii U on launch last December as I was a fan of the GameCube and to a smaller extent, the Wii.

But what a huge disappointment it was for me personally, after I'd had it 6 months I only had 3 games on it as there was simply nothing imo worth buying.

Anyway the machine was barely used more than an hour a week at that stage and days went by when I didnt even turn it on (yet the battery drained lightning fast!) so when a friend was thinking of buying one, I sold him mine on the cheap.

Don't get me wrong I love Nintendo and have been a fan of theirs for many years but I think the Wii U was a huge mistake for several reasons.

First considering its supposed to be next gen, its hardware is underpowered and antiquated, ie the gamepad resistive screen, its old tech and not as clear, sharp or responsive as a capacitive screen, the small amount of storage space didnt help its cause but I think one of the biggest stumbling blocks for it is simply the name Wii U. You would be amazed how many people think the Wii U is simply an addon for the Wii. They don't realise its a totally new console.

I still say they should have named it Wii 2.

That said, I look forward to the next Nintendo console and really hope they get it right.

 

What will push me over the top next month is the new bundle with Super Mario Bros U and Super Luigi U on one disc rather than Nintendo Land. Also excited for Super Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8. It's backwards compatible with WII. My attention span is pretty short and Im not into hardcore games...

 

I hope there will be a Super Mario 3D World bundle as well. Or better yet, a bundle with Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros U and Luigi U!

 

When I saw the reveal trailer, I was underwhelmed, especially since I thought it looked way too much like a game that should have been on the 3DS.

But Nintendo must be doing something right, because the screenshots and videos I've been seeing released lately make the game look spectacular!

 

Love the new video!! These levels look fantastic love the kart style and the classic shooter style levels!!

 

I was able to get the game early, last night.

I've played through the first world and half of the second one, and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. So fun
