It'll cost you just 2.99. But if you wait one week, it'll be just 0.99. Just for you. Enjoyed the first game, enjoying the second game. But this kind of price dropping after one week has to stop. Do it the opposite way: Do a launch sale and reward first buyers. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 1,997 145 63 #3 orangecan, Oct 31, 2014 I know quick price drops are common now on the store but as much as I've learned to accept them as a necessary evil this really pisses me off. There's the argument to be made that it's well worth full price and I should be happy to have supported the devs, which would be all well and good if they'd left it a bit longer before a sale but after only a week it feels like I'm being kicked in the teeth for buying it at launch. Ah well. Won't be the first time or the last, it's just another nudge in the direction of not picking up new games in the first week or so which I'm sure can't be good for anyone. Amenbrother Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 6,659 7 38 #4 Amenbrother, Oct 31, 2014 Lets all just wait for price drops on all games then. Why early adopt just to get hit with a sale. Card Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 818 6 18 Toronto Canada #5 Card, Oct 31, 2014 I waited for the sale. (hides from rocks) Drucifer Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2010 1,568 1 38 Canada #6 Drucifer, Oct 31, 2014 I purchased when it came out and honestly the game isn't that charming. Sure I can see the appeal but to me its dull and boring. Not worth $2.99 to me and this slap in the face to early purchases just goes to show the developers are only worried about getting their game higher in the sales chart after what was likely a disappointing first week in sales. I'll be avoiding this developer from now on and to the friends I was going to suggest the game to I won't even bother now. slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,775 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #7 slewis7, Oct 31, 2014 Drucifer, of course, the developer is concerned wth getting higher sales! I paid $2.99 as well. It is an excellent game, but the novelty is gone for me after playing the first game in the series so much. Still, I do not begrudge the developer from dropping the price to try to get more sales. $2.99 seemed cheap to me. Srsly, guys, you are iOS gaming for several years (according to your join dates) and you still didn't got used to the mechanics of the Appstore? Eh, and when you guys buy a bread in a bakery and the very next day the bread is on sale, do you guys go into the bakery and show the staff your middle finger? As Vovin mentioned, if you have been on the AppStore for more than a few months you should realize developer regularly put their games on sale shortly after release if the game hasn't reached sales expectations. I would think people would take pride in being an early supporter of small developers, I do! Good job getting mad over two dollars, though. Drucifer Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2010 1,568 1 38 Canada #15 Drucifer, Nov 1, 2014 I think not good sir, the only drama queen here is the individual butt hurt over someone else's opinion. I've been a member of the iOS App Store since it's initial launch and have bought things since launch and will continue to do so in the future despite the price. My opinion has little to do with the $2 price difference, I can assure you I spend far more than $2 on other things in the run of a day that have far less value or interest to me than a potential $3 random app I just so happen to choose to purchase that day. I'm sorry if you are some dedicated iOS fan who has to keep telling yourself that if the game is great what's it matter if you pay the extra $2. The money isn't a factor here, I've spent considerably more on apps that drop for far more than a mere $2 and I'm more than pleased to fork over my cash for a quality game. I really feel no need to go on any further. In addition I can see why so many of those who have been here since back in the day when I joined have stopped visiting the site. Please don't trouble yourself with replying; I'm sure you already established the fact that I don't much care for the game, hence I will not be returning to this thread.
