I cant shoot an automatic weapon and jump at the same time. And so can't you. Try using the mini gun and so while holding the b press a and see that your shooting stops
The way to jump and shoot simultaneously is to hold B, and then quickly slide from A and back to B. This initiates a full-height jump while continuing to shoot. It takes a bit getting used to, but I find myself using it comfortably now.
I wasn't try to say that it *did* support it, I was wondering aloud why it didn't! Isn't that what multitouch should allow for? Heck, Fruit Ninja allows you to use all 5 fingers at once (maybe more?), so I don't understand why SCB doesn't already allow for touching A and B at the same time.
Pressing 2 buttons is easy when you have two touch points to track, however we're not doing that. We use one touch point, our thumb. This is why most devs sandwich a third A+B button in the middle of A and B. Thats what is typically being registered, the hidden middle button, not both buttons. SCB breaks from this with the jump/slide to shoot approach. Once you figure it out, its rather intuitive and makes it possible to jump max height while shooting even non automatic weapons.
I don't think its considered trolling when he was just stating his opinion. I don't recall him trying to convince you to not love the game.
For some reason, SCB crashes sometimes, but if I keep trying, it will work eventually. Is it because of my 2nd gen iPod? Or is it crashing for other people also.
I asked them this on twitter yesterday, and they said they wanted to get it perfect before they implement it. So yes, should be coming sometime...
Well, with that IGF nomination for Ridiculous Fishing & the crate counter still soaring so fast, things are more of a rollercoaster than ever before here at Vlambeer! Halfbot and the two of us are amazingly proud to see that Super Crate Box is sustaining a top 100 spot well after the feature ended. Thanks so much for your support and feedback, everyone. We'll answer the biggest questions the last few pages We're working on iCloud support! However, we really want to get this perfect as iCloud appears to be simple to implement but has a lot of things to consider lest we screw up. We do not want to risk your save data with a halfhearted implementation. Probably related to memory issues. The 2nd gen hardware is tough to have the game run on at this point, but we're quite proud that it runs at all. It might take some extra attempts, though. We playtested intensively and we noticed that with multitouch, it was way easier to accidently press both buttons at the same time. The last thing we wanted was people jumping into that floating white enemy above their head when they were trying to fire a rocketlauncher, so we killed that. The Jump-to-Shoot slide was the solution we came up with that worked best - it minimized accidental jumps/shots while still allowing for the jump/shoot move. We hope Super Crate Box keeps doing well so we can keep working on the next update! We've got some plans we think you'll all like and those of you who noticed, we finally figured out what caused the sometimes erronous hitboxes and fixing them is at the absolute top. We also want to point out some cool initiative on Twitter, where a fan started a Twitter account that posts how many crates were collected and what the average amount of collected crates per hour is - the account is @CratesCollected and its a pretty nifty thing to see. Thanks again for being with us and supporting us. We hope for your patience while we work on the next update!
Got 580 in SFMT. That's probably as high as I'm going to get, since today was the last day in which I'll have a lot of free time for awhile. I was killed by the minigun recoil, as usual. It should be possible to get the SFMT high scores to the same level as the normal mode high scores. The difficulty never seems to increase in SFMT, either. The mode is just more "bad luck" prone, as the screen can fill up fast if you keep getting dual pistols, the absolute worst weapon.
Oh, I know. The diminished movement control when firing is what sometimes gets me killed. It's difficult to account for that perfectly when you have so many things to keep track of, and just accidentally going in one direction a few steps can be the last straw that breaks you if you're wading in enemies.
Does anyone else have a problem selecting the third character on the unlocks screen? I've heard of problems with the ninja... I'm not sure if I haven't unlocked it, but I've unlocked everyone else and no achievements for characters are left. Anyone else having this problem?
