Well yeah. I'm not totally dumb. I have all the new game features (selectable character, switchable buttons ETC) but with the old icon. AppStore says all my apps are up to date...
The icon on my iPhone was the old icon until I rebooted later and then I had the new icon. I was sad. Curiously, though, the first time I brought up the task bar after that it was the old icon there. Then then the next time it was the new icon. On a different note, does anyone else find the layout of the A/B buttons on the iPad to be awkward? I get a fair amount of mistaps, though I am playing better on there anyway. Still, I wish I didn't have to make a conscious effort to position my thumb properly for it. I wish the left most of the two was higher up and more in line with the other, though I do think a slight offset would be good. This one just has too much of an offset.
Not sure how difficult tweeks could be a bug. I still don't think it's necessarily easier. Maybe it's just the control changes / scrolling that makes it a tad easier. But I don't find the enemies themselves to be any easier. Maybe everybody (except me!) is just getting better!

Some of you probably are just much better at the game after a while. Even if the patch helped a bit, your skill at the game keeps improving.
Interesting response on the Twitter. I don't necessarily agree with it, though. So many people here have noted how much easier everything seems to be. I don't like it really. An easy mode should have just been created. Controls help players perform better, but these score differences can't just be controls. Don't get me wrong, the game is still fun, but it seems much slower paced. Now if I ever die it is only because I get so impatient and run around so much quicker without as much regard to the enemies.
Yeah, I'm a little curious to be honest... Curious, in a way such as to think that how have SO many people, literally overnight, increased their score - double, triple, or however much higher? I doubt it's a bug though... I mean, a quick look at the top 25 and you can see the general increase in scores, across most, if not all game modes and levels. Are they new players who are just freaks at the PC version? Or have the new controls/camera really helped? I for one have found the game easier. Whether or not it is a change in difficulty, mentally I find the game alot easier. Still VERY MUCH so enjoyable, and alot of fun smashing my old SFMT and Ambush scores
I had a steady improvement, then when the update hits I do 4-5X better. Maybe it is the controls and the fact that I'm getting better, but it sure seems unlikely, I don't know. Vlambeer replied:
Hoping for an alternate game mode or customizable setup in the future. Imagine being able to select the big green monsters only with mines in every crate, that would be crazy! I appreciate the simplicity of the game, but multiple game modes would only give the game more replay value. Perhaps a mode where the enemy starts slow, and increases in speed, or the number of enemies on screen starts small, and slowly grows over time. There are a lot of options you have with this game that could make it even better, please consider them.
Yeah you're right. I briefly touched on the potential of SCB a few pages back. There is SO much potential for new game modes. Maybe it's just a matter of time before we see some of these ideas initiated perhaps?
Icon is still cached, it will switch the next time it gets refreshed, typically after a respring or sync.
This game is somehow easier. I got a high-score of 13 in construction, where before, my high-score was 9. Then I got exactly 10 in the second mode, and now there is the moon temple and it is pretty hard! I love the super meat boy character. I don't know if this is just different after the update, or it is because I was using super meat boy, or it has always been there, but I was using the mini-gun, and I shot and jumped up against a wall, and I just stuck there! It was pretty cool!
Well, this kinda odd, But after playing about an hour just now, the difficulty feels like it did pre-update. It was only right after the update when I got better scores....I'm confused. In any crate, I just hit 10,000 crates, does anyone have more?
Exactly 9000 here. 52328 kills, hah. 804 minutes... I wonder if that includes pause time or background running time. There is no way I have spent that much time on this game. I would say max 3 hours by this point. EDIT: Time jumped to 806 after I posted.. Was just sitting in the stats page.
