all I've seen are "theories" on what it means, but the best I've seen is "Super Fu***ng Mega Turbo" I personally dunno what it means other that "F*** this is hard"
The best I've seen is super mother f*cking tough. The only problem with that is the F and M are switched so...
I'd like to easily see what my AVERAGE score is. That will tell me if I'm getting better. I used to average 7 or 8, now I seem to average closer to 15 or 20. Awesome game. Thrilling. Compelling. Freaking addicting!
I think it would be cool if they added a capture the flag mode like the christmas level in muffin knight.
Played some more and now my high score is 21. I can get up to around 18 pretty easily now because I just feel out the beginning of the round. If I don't like how it starts off and I don't feel comfortable I'll just jump into one of them. It seems as if I have two main problems when playing: thinking that I can double jump and jumping into the the end of the girders when I jump over an enemy. Thinking I can double jump is my main problem though. I reach around 15, get comfortable, and then I instinctively think that I can do a small jump to double jump. I've also noticed some of the button response issues that ppl were talking about earlier in the thread. Edit WTH...21 twice in a row and another 21 two or so tries before those. Ughhh...
Just bought and I'm liking it for the most part. Some things I noticed: -I think the jump button should give you a tiny bit more power, feels like it doesn't give enough -I wish there was a way you could drag in a direction to keep firing inthe air. That or a "jump attack" button. -I noticed now that the disc gun can't kill the big enemy when it slices through and then reflects off the wall slicing it again, unlike the pc version, and making it less powerful. Also wasn't "rocket launcher" called a bazooka in the pc version? -I'd really like customizable controls, if not solely so I could raised them a hair. Where they're at vertically is a bit of a pain for the way I hold my device... -multiple save slots would also be nice Overall a really nice game though. Can't wait for the update!
The longer you press jump the higher you jump, but yeah I kinda wish there was more power behind just tapping it. However since this seems to be part of the core gameplay, I doubt it'll change. I think they're adding something for the jump and fire in the update. I forget how they described it though. Disc gun does kill big enemies after bouncing off the wall so...??? I'm pretty sure they're adding customizable controls too. I gotta re-look. Edit "One of the things we've added is a Jump -> Shoot slide that'll max out the variable jump height, so you can jump+shoot." "Also, we're allowing people to switch around Jump & Shoot might they prefer that "
Yeah, I mean even when I hold it for a second sometimes it doesn't go high enough. And with the disc gun, so far I haven't gotten it to kill a big enemy yet when it ricochets off the wall. I like the sound of the new jump/shoot mechanic though .., On a separate note, does anyone else think the minigun lost it's soul when it came to iOS?
"One of the things we've added is a Jump -> Shoot slide that'll max out the variable jump height, so you can jump+shoot." "Also, we're allowing people to switch around Jump & Shoot might they prefer that " As for the disc gun, I noticed it doesn't kill a big enemy when they're close to a wall. If they'r not close to a wall it kills them. IDK if that's what you meant.
Jump feels fine to me. You just need to get used to it. The disc gun doesn't double hit if the enemy is really close to the wall. Almost seems like there is a cushion distance where it doesn't do anything. The minigun is alright for me. If I'm against a wall I'll just blast away, otherwise I hurry up and grab a crate. I'm pretty sure Vlambeer said the jump/shoot thing would let you slide from the jump to the shoot and it would give you a max jump while shooting. I think.
The game got a lot easier once I realized that enemies I didn't kill came back out at the top, and that's where the red ones come from. just noticed it because i was too busy trying not to die. made my score jump from 18 to 25 on my first run.
Yeah, I think that's it with the disc gun. Whenever they're by the wall it doesnt work. And with the minigun, I like it, but it lost its amazing sound effects and now gives me a blah feeling. And with the jump, I just kept messing up with when I thought I had it right and missing the edge by a pixel or two.
Has anyone else noticed the bug where a monster will sometimes skip a platform and just fall straight through it?
Yes, I gave that feedback a while ago. They're aware of it, apparently. It happens on my 2G, especially when using the flamethrower in the middle platform of the first map, but it's usually when the game chugs. One thing, though: wasn't the "minute count" fixed in an update? I still have 209k minutes - which equates to tons of days... What's the status on that? Cheers, Paulo
Haven't seen that yet (on iPhone 4). But I did run straight through one of the big monsters while holding down the flamethrower.
I'm starting to get the hang of playing on an iPhone. Trick is to realize you don't need to have your thumbs in the middle of the buttons. Put 'em way down at the bottom, only partially on the screen. Finally managed to get 12 crates and unlock the second level. Then got 9 crates on the 2nd level. Of course the game is still way better on an iCade. The game is superb on it. Love the portrait mode. Just not so portable, so I'll be playing on my iPhone too. Hopefully it will eventually work with iControlPad too.
