Great game! I'm afraid it will kill my productivity on my own new game ;] Controls are perfect, gameplay is addictive ( and hard: pathetic 15 crates record so far despite similar controls to Commander Pixman ) Solid 60fps. PERFECT retro game! One minor issue: When we are on the bottom of level, controls could hide boxes, enemies or our hero, I think they should be somewhere lower.
I wouldn't change the controls, but I would allow for a pointy bouncing small arrow - or icon - floating several pixels above the crate, indicating that the crate is there, when it's in those bottom corners. I myself have missed crates several times... Asides from that, I like the controls a lot, but I have to say that I am kind of underwhelmed for there being only 3 levels - I sure hope more are on the way for the 5M crate update What are the mode differences? Also, +1 for joypad support, so we can play it on the iPad using our iPod as a controller. Cheers, Vlambeer and Halfbot! Great job! Paulo
Much the same as the PC version, same levels, modes, weapons, characters. iOS content to be added in future updates, buy the game now!!
I'm really enjoying the game, but I wish the characters were a bit eaiser to unlock as I've played over 100 times and only unlocked 1 extra character and its not looking like I'll unlock any more.
I'm loving the graphics, the old skool pixel type art. But perhaps its just me, finding it so tricky to get a big chain going ! Maximum i've done is 'ahem' 10 before getting killed ! I keep playing it and i've unlocked a fair few levels but i just cant seem to get that many crates without dying ! 10 is pretty poor !
This game is amazing. So refreshing to finally have a challenging game. Current high score is 17. I'm starting to understand both the game and the levels, and it's putting things under control.
One of the benefits of developing for IOS instead of Android always seemed to me that the platform is much more standardized so I can imagine you just don't expect a bug on only a combination of one specific device and OS version. I just bought the game to play on my iPad anyway. Even though I couldn't really get used to the PC version, the game being Universal, only .79 eurocents, and a Dutch dev is enough to push me over the edge.
Yay! IMO, this game is even more fun on my iPhone than the desktop version! Having a blast. Now I can say bye bye to Muffin Knight, since this game clicks way more. A ton of fun! And the controls are downright perfect.
This is so much fun on the iCade! Sure the touchscreen controls work ok but this game has its roots in arcade gameplay so it is fantastic on the iCade
SO FUN!!! High score: 9 I really wanna get ten!!! Just 3 maps? I guess the weapons make up for the amount of maps. And the different game modes...
Game Impressions Perhaps there's something I'm missing, but I don't see much point in this without some sort of multiplayer. And possibly not even with. The core mechanic is fun enough, and technically it's damn near flawless, (need option to move controls around on the iPad at least though) but it's a Grade A top shelf bone; and I like a little meat on my bones, thank you.
Same here, the game doesn´t work. It goes to the developer logo then the crashing sound comes and I am back on the home screen. Such a shame.
