This game is probably the most fun I have had in a long time when it comes to mobile gaming.
    Especially its replayability.

My only gripe with it is:
How are you going to make money? I am glad I started playing after energy was gone though, but those diamonds really do come up a lot. They come atleast 1 out of 2 fights on certain stages. I bought eyestabber but dont know why I would ever need to buy those diamonds(jewels I mean).

I would love if all characters could be bought in the shop instead of just eyestabber. Or if you want to keep the game fair, make it so they are available after some bossfight or even after completing all stages?
Still 6 or 7 characters missing that I just cant seem to get. Would definately buy them.

Yeah that's our downfall pretty much - making money off our work has always been a problem and will eventually cause us to pack up if we can't figure it out (looking for expertise in that department, ideally without ruining the game experience?)

You have a dedicated fanbase, you could put a price on your next apps ($5.99?). Make characters buyable for amount of money. I would buy some. :) I already bought Purple Shirt... I would hate to see you leave, you are my favorite developer on iOS and I have always loved all your games, I would hate to see you go because of financial issues. :(

Another idea would be extra stages unlockable via money (like extra thing where you could gain new exclusive character + levels)

Damn some guy is trying to get #1 in Who's Next this week, called Hissal10. This guy always tailing me, forces me to keep playing to get more fans and increase my lead.

I was at 70k and he was at 40k, then I became #1 with 90k and he was at 70k.
Yesterday I managed to go up to 120k, and this guy was at 108k. This morning I went up to 130k and then I left for a couple of hours.

I come back and this guy is at 130k as well... wtf. Dedicated or something? This guy literally did 60k fans in one day. [that's 150 wins]

And right now he's playing, I am playing as well hihi. I am 'only' at 7k in front of him but he is playing at the same time as me haha. Wish he would stop so I don't have to spend my day on the game. :D

If you ever read this, Hissal10, I just want to get #1 this time around, and I'll let you get it next week. :)

You could start by creating new characters that are only for sale(IAP). There are already enough free characters.
Also why no ads? Its a free game. Why not throw in some ads with an IAP to disable them?
This game is a gem and all friends I tell about it are addicted now too. Least you could do is make some more money out of it.

A one time jewelpack for sharing on facebook or twitter for free advertisement?

I am no expert but would think these things dont ruin gameplay. They just give a bit more to those willing to pay.
And I think there are more than you think. Its just that those gems drop so often that there is no reason to ever buy them for players. And even if they were worth it, players already know the chances are slim they will get the character they want.
Some other fighting games offer players the oppertunity to buy the character with real money. Costs more, but then they know they will get that one.
I hope this game does really well. It really deserves it.

If you get a bit more from the game, I hope you advertise a bit too. Because of this game, I tried out other games from you and they are really great. I try out so many games on iphone and wonder how I could have missed those.

Would be ashame if you guys give up, as you have some real talent.

    S-Mario, help please ! :(

The leaderboard has once again bugged at the weekly reset (which occurred 14 minutes ago).

Some players had already thousands of fans when the leaderboard restarted, here is a screenshot for you.

As you can see on the side of the screenshot (look at day/hours/min remaining), it was taken 1 min after leaderboard were reset.

And some guy already has 18k fans. That is not humanely possible in 1 minute.

Here is another image, taken this time 17 min after leaderboard were reset.

On this image a player has suddenly appeared at the top of the leaderboard, with 32k fans. This is ALSO not humanly possible in 17 min.

I will say again, I think that when you are in a fight between 23:59 and 00:01 the fans do not reset. This is possibly the cause of the bugs. :(

Anyhow, leaderboard have to be reset again for those who abused the bug. Thanks S-Mario. :)

I like what someone suggested about adding more IAP characters like Purple Shirt, and you definitely should do that, but I'd also make it so all your existing characters can be purchasable for like 99¢ each or something. It's pretty much what Crossy Road and all the Crossy Road-like games do. They give you the ability to unlock and collect characters through random means, or if you're impatient or you just really want a specific character you can just buy them outright for a buck each.

First I would recommend a quick bugfix update S-Mario.

These bugs could seriously stop a lot of players from continueing with game. Especially the not being able to upgrade players further than what they initially could even if yoi eat others. This could be a dealbreaker to many players as there is a hard stage that requires a 1 star character. I was able to beat it thanks to the tip from Tempest.
I can imagine players that just give up though. I wasnt able to beat it with another character. Didnt even come close.

The other crucial one: the crashes. It can be really frustrating to finally be winning, and then the game closes. Especially if you paid a lot for powerups.

    Also:
Could you also fix Azuron on the screen before you start the fight? When he is your main character, you cant press the back button as you always press on Azuron then. But this is not a crucial bug like the other 2.

Looking forward to the changes. Even with these bugs, its a great game. Can only become better.

Team I wouldnt remember as I switch them around so much. Stage feels like any stage. Can be "who's next" or any fight in the normal stages. I remember atleast 19-4 and 20-4 because at 20-4 I remember thinking: again, right before the bossbattle.

I'm drawing up an interesting database snapshop for who is most popular in the current active teams. Will base balancing on a lot of these.

So, of the people who own these characters, this is how many are currently in a team.

Things to consider for the numbers like: Are they drafted at the start of the game, are they a coin or gem draft, were they added after launch. Overall though it paints a picture that says, Toons suck and Beasts aren't as popular as I thought.

Purple Shirt 47%, Old Ben 33%
    Azuron 31%, Bishop 31%
    Frank 29%, Simon 28%,
    Mr Host 28%, Julius 26%
    Pauline 26%, Clementine 24%
    Alyssa 22%, Abigail 22%
    Duberry 21%, Raven 21%
    Nameless 20%, Bvulcrux 19%
    Berfa 18%, Jennifer 18%
    Hanger 18%, Prophet 15%
    Envoy 14%, Calculator 13%,
    Globulus 13%, Bearamount 12.6%
    Bearwolf 12%, Damien 12%
    Gillius 12%, Shishima 12%
    Buffy 11%, Zambar Bone 11%
    LeRatte 11%, Angelica, 11%
    Sally 10%, Saberwuuf 10%
    Wormulon 9%, Crushinator 9%
    Morbok 9%, Contestant 8%
    Guardian 8%, Ricky 8%
    Messenger 8%, Benny 7%
    Eagle 7%, Polar Boy 6%
    Romario 6%, Daisy 5%
    Magnemmar 5%, Elzar 5%
    Otis 4%, Beezer 4%
    Stella 4%, Candyman 3%,
    MacDoogle 3%

    Most popular class type:
    Warrior>Wizard>Undead>=Tech>Beast>Toon

Ur pretty much right on toons and beasts. Toons especially were just hard to make work. Beasts, besides "predator thing" are just as hard. Maybe the way the levels were developed? IDK, honest feedback, not trying to be facetious.

EDIT: It took me forever to finally get Ben, and I was mostly disappointed becsause he has almost no range what-so-ever. Call it Star Wars-itis ;)

    Envoy, Bearwolf and Mister Host.

Occasionally I remove one of these characters and swap them for Clementine + another 2 star character, depending on how I play.

I was surprised as well for these statistics. People who have Purple Shirt bought him so it makes sense that they play him.
And I was also disappointed at Old Ben. Especially his force push/pull they seem underwhelming and don't do much, and the range is quite short. :(
Another question, Mister Host, when played by AI in my team, has this attack which is like purple ball that he summons and it floats, causing damage on impact. I can't do this ability when I played with him, no matter how much I tried (no combo works). Is it actually possible to do this one? Damn I want Raven so bad....

We do add lots of hidden things which we felt were better left out of the instructions but are in there just bcos it makes the game better.

Its not possible to do certain boss moves, hope you dont feel cheated. Its more of the other way round where we would add extra moves to bosses to make their boss fight more spectacular in the tower campaign. Romario was originally going to summon lots of helpers, Damien has bullets, rockets and helpers, Wormulon and Karnivore fill up the entire screen (there was going to be a playable karnivore, thats why u see him in character form) Leratte and Mr Host can ground teleport, a few special AI can do an invincible roll.

Its sometimes advantageous to pick bosses just for their AI since some bosses have unique AI which makes them a bit sharper/more aggressive. For example the Messenger of death, Envoy of Death, Leratte, Nameless, Raven, Mr Host, Purple Shirt, Azuron, Prophet, Crushinator and Calculator.

We did not forsee Old ben being the success that he is, I think majority of players pick characters based on looks (maybe its the Jedi thing) whereas most of the hardcore players would pick based on moves. But the one I really can't explain is Simon the Dog hahaa
