Controls are fixed in the update ;) They work beautifully, and no "wind wall" either.

    Im so loving this game.
I fell in love with blackmoor and this is just as great, even with the wonky bugs.

A question for the devs, do you have any plans for more content later on?
If so, could you give us a hint as to what that may be?

    Keep up the good work!

Nameless with his M.Bison moveset is so fun.

I can see micro management in the form of poking then scissor kicking away, or sliding away.

:) Really fun to play as.

Ok, nice. Finally did test flight update and have to also say that the controls work seamlessly with my ps4 controller. Good stuff, dev, all good.

Leratte has some similarities to Bison as well. Scissor kick and the flying head stomp.

It's funny how he carries a huge sword but 80% of the time he's booting people in the face, slide tackling and head stomping

Loving this game and despite some annoying hate people are throwing for a few small bugs or general hate towards IAPs, I love what Mooff is doing here and what they do with all their game. Always really solid stuff.

Anyone have a character guide or gameplay guides? I got like 3 Clementine's in a row on 1-3 pulls (she was also my starter) and a few other 2 and 1 star dudes. I have no idea whats good, how to level them and what each is worth etc. etc. I know it boils down to playstyle a lot of times, but I'm just curious since there are a ton of characters in here and i feel a little overwhelmed....in a good way :)

Is there any bonus to getting a super or perfect kill? I know how to get each, but it seems like the rewards are the same.

Not any guides I think, but reading back through the thread may answer a few questions for you about leveling up. By the way, Clementine is, in my opinion, the best 2⭐️ character. She's one of the few that has all 4 special attacks (as most are missing the "hadouken" input for a special attack), her basic attack has good range, and her special bringing out the skeletons can really come in handy in a pinch. Have your leveled up Clementine eat the other two, and her max level will raise by ten. I hope that helps a bit ;)

Yeah, that was pretty interesting as well, but I think Leratte has a fireball instead of slide?

XD I know right, even his super is a grapple move.

Oh and btw, does anyone know how to shoot fireballs and roll with Mister Host? I've only seen the boss characters roll, but I've seen the partner ai cast projectiles with Mister Host.

So from what I've gathered, each character has normal moves, at least two upgradeable special moves, and four upgradeable stats. There are also upgradeable team stats, character eating and gold upgrading.

    Moves
Every character has a standing, jumping and crouching attack. Generally speaking, standing attacks have the furthest reach and highest damage, while jumping moves are medium damage with short reach and crouching attacks have a medium reach with small damage, but are relatively quick. Certain characters have a jump attack that will bring them to the ground faster, such as Buffy.

All moves have three stages: The start up, active, and recovery stage. Recovery is after the attack, where your character cannot move until the recovery is finished, then you can move again. For standing moves, you can actually cancel the recovery with a crouching attack, special attack or super move. Crouching attacks can only cancel into specials and supers.

Certain specials will pass through projectiles, certain specials (usually the vertical jumping ones) will have invincibility but a long recovery if they miss. Some will also grab through blocks and some can be projectiles.

There also A+B specials, which often take a short time to recharge. However, the super moves take a much longer time to recharge.

Blocking in this game is simple, you can crouch to block both directions, or simply walk in the opposite direction of the attack. Unlike most games, you can actually move while crouching. This is useful for those matches when your sole character has to fight a trainload of 1 star opponents, as you can minimize damage while getting into an attack range.

All of these special moves gain experience when used; whether they hit or miss is irrelevant. After you use them enough, you may upgrade it by character on the team screen, and going to the special tab, and pressing the bright yellow button next to the desired move. These moves will upgrade to a max of 6, increasing in damage.

    Stats
The four stats are Attack, Health, Speed and Luck. These are upgraded with the different colored tokens you recieve after a match. To upgrade a stat, the token's color must match the dsired character's type, and must also be of the same attribute that you want.

The first two are obvious, but the third from what I recall increases your movement speed, jump speed and skill recharge rate (although not sure if the skill is the A+B special or the Super move)

The luck stat is a simple critical chance boost. Crits do boosted damage, but I do not know the actual numbers. The luck stat is useless unless you pile a lot of them together. When you have enough, they can account for about 1/4 of your moves. Occasionally in game, your character will also have a red aura, indicating that your character has a boosted damage and damage reduction.

Furthermore under the "Power" tab, you may permanently upgrade a team boost. Upgradeable to a maximum of 20 levels, these stat boosts apply to your whole team, and is useful if you find yourself switching characters often.

    Eating and Gold
Eating another character gains experience. If the character eaten is the same character as the eater, the eater will gain 5 maximum levels. Each level gained unlocks more room to upgrade your stats, often to the 10-15 point area. The highest max level of the character depends on the stars. (Ex. Sabrewuuf, a two star character, has a max level of 50, while Nameless, four stars, can go beyond.)

Golding a character can occur when your character has reached a high enough level; this does not seem to matter with max levels. Once a character is about 25-35 levels, you may enter the "goldboys" tab on the character screen and look at the characters listed. If the character's image is fully colored, you may drag them onto the platform to upgrade them. No idea what the numbers or benefits are aside from a slightly larger size, as I have not seen any extra effects. Character can only be golded once, as far as I know.

    Beginning

Generally, it is a good idea to start with a two star character that has a grab and a move that goes through projectiles. This simple moveset will help you understand the basics of the game while also giving you the tools to deal with virtually any situation.

For example, Sabrewuuf (a two star character) has two specials: a grapple and a jumping tail swipe, as well as a super. Try using him in the very first battle. You will notice that his A+B tail swipe passes through the opponent's gun fire when timed right, and that his grapple move (holding A) will allow you to damage the opponent if he is blocking. You might also notice that the opponent seems to beat most of your attack with a jumping uppercut. You counter this by crouch walking towards him until he uppercuts. After his uppercut, you can attack him with a simple standing A - A+B combo, dealing a decent amount of damage.

    Types
Last but not least, each character has a special type. You can see the dynamics of this by entering "my room", pressing the grey gear icon and pressing the question mark. At the top right corner you will see a wheel indicating which type trumps the other. In tough boss fights, having the right character type is crucial. The types have a 30% damage boost towards the one on the right of it, but deal 30% less to the one on the left of it. However, this also extends to the one next to the other, but is only half of the aforementioned amount. (For example, the purple skull type does 30% more to the red one, 15% more to the green one.)

These special types also have different attributes: (Undead can heal every once in a while, Warriors are stronger when low health, not sure if damage or healthwise, Beasts deal increased damage to characters that are low on health, Wizards start with their super, Techs explode, dealing massive damage upon death and toons can triple jump.

Generally, this should not be too big of a problem outside of boss fights.

I hope that enlightens you a bit more about the game, and of fighting games in general.

P.S. For later stages, you'll need a strong one star character and two star character, so be sure to invest into at least one of both tiers.

I'm gonna give my two subjective cents on the characters.

Firstly do proceed with lvling 1 and 2 ⭐️ cause there are some great characters in those tiers.

    My favorites are:

    1⭐️
    Morbok, Gilius, Zambarbone, Sally,

    2⭐️
Saberwuuf, Pauline, Benny, Simon, Clementine,Jennifer, Daisy, Bvulcrux

I'm hoping Moof won't abandon this game, it has such great potential!

Wonder if I'll still be trying to beat 9.4 when I'm 80 on my iBrain 12.

Ah, the bear fight? What is your team? I had trouble with that one for a bit but eventually got through it alright. Do you have warrior characters you can use? They do well against beast characters.

Edit: Did you mean 19.4? It sounds like you've progressed pretty far in this game can't imagine you being stuck on 9.4 still :p

Lol, yeah my bad. I ain't afraid of no stinkin' bears. All those evil guys in a row that you have to take in 1-on-1...now THAT is scary. I keep on buying all the upgrades money can buy (once I maxed my team stats I had a ton of money to spare), but I always die at the hands of Darth Nameless. I've come close, though... sure I'll do it with one more star. I think some others had trouble on that level as well.

I beat the stage as Nameless. II beat it simply by headstomping them all. It takes a bit of practice, but try stomping then dive attacking them down. From there, headstomp them on wakeup, as they do not block often. If anything, learn the range for a stomp as well, so it will automatically activate when in range. You can even use the move to reposition!

You can check out my battle versus them here:
