Yeah that's the joystick glitch, it's updating Sounds like we need to check on point blank collision then, it really should hit the other characters in almost all cases. Damn... sorry that's a scary one i havent heard before we'll try to find out whats going on, which fighter was it? Subpar writing and spelling, really? Got any examples of horrible use of English? We don't really have a tutorial in the traditional mobile sense, does it need to be improved? Sure. I'm open to ideas from you and everyone else The energy system is almost non-existent, you lose energy on losses and it refills pretty fast. The PVP thing is just not true, it's written in a way where stats are much more balanced when fighting OUTSIDE of the Tower.
Apparently someone forgot to roll out the red carpet. For the price of free, constructive feedback is acceptable. Just b****ing because the game has issues that are going to be worked out is quite another. Have you read the last 18 pages?? Go to the other threads where there's ZERO contact from the developer (and most often with a premium fee of entry) and then come back here and apologize. Get the f'ing silver spoon out of your mouth.
Can anyone help me understand this discrepancy I'm seeing? Upon clicking on a few high level characters, I'm shown that I have un-maxed stats. But, after clicking "upgrade," I'm shown a screen where the stats are maxed-out and I have no option to upgrade them further.
Hmm the one in the upgrade screen seems right having 8x4 at level 33... it looks like a display bug in number of grey boxes in the info tab let me get back on that, should be traceable golden Morbok though, that's sick
I've published testflight v2.5, I mailed a few people asking for their testflight names, send me your e-mail in private message and I'll add you to the list thanks
Thanks. My first idea of what was going on was that golden boying him had in some way "frozen" his stats. Given that a character has to be at level X/X in order to use it, and I subsequently increased his max level, I wondered if that had triggered some kind of bug. But I've since seen it on my clementine as well...and she hasn't been made golden. Edit: I think I may have figured it out. It looks like characters continue to "scale" past their initial max level. By that, I mean their maximum stats continue to rise. However, growth beyond the initial maximum isn't represented in the upgrade screen, and thus can't be increased. So, for instance, that 8x4 is representative of morbok's stats at level 20. The unfilled Max stats represent where he should be at level 33.
Could it be Morbok is technically maxed for lvl 33, and the 1st screen is showing what level 40 will get him to?
Individually, bugs like these are limiting but obviously temporary issues. Taken together with the other shortcomings, it was hard to understand what was going on, even less how to control my characters. Glad to hear they will be seen to, though! I wouldn't have mentioned a squandering of potential if I did not think Super Boys HAD tons of potential, and with functional controls and accurate hit detection (and perhaps characters less prone to suicidal self-consumption ), this'd be an instant classic! (Which I'm sure it already is, to those unaffected by these issues. Bears fighting mechs fighting fantasy heroes with a Ken/Ruy inferiority complex alone will not get you the TouchArcade GotW.) (Probably most likely not. Possibly.) I can't access the game right now, and can't quite recall her name. A blond 2 star female fighter. I can check and see later, if it might help in resolving the issue! Nothing horrible. "Subpar" in this context means a lack of polish, primarily apparent in the lack of apostrophes in abbreviations, and a number of clumsy sentences. The dialogue and descriptions give the impression that they were written by a non-native speaker. (I can submit a revision of the written content, either simply as an example of how the narration and syntax can be polished and improved, or for you to replace the current text strings with. Seeing as I work as a journalist, content editor and copywriter, though, there's a good chance I won't be too keen on ramming my textually oversaturated noggin' headfirst into another block of text as soon as my workday ends. So it might be a while.) Just a quick warning that the player IS in a tutorial would probably do the trick (And as soon as the stick works properly, defeating Romario won't be a potential hurdle that might deter players from sticking around long enough to unlock the full game.) Given that I lost 10 fights against the first boss, at least in part because my character would not face or move in the right direction, the energy system probably came across as more severely limiting than it will after the stick has been patched. With that in mind, I retract my observation on the energy system Purchased gems, however, are used to draw characters more powerful than with gold, and a player who invests real money can obviously draw enough characters to ensure a spread of high-tier fighters, unlike a player who relies on gems earned in-game. In addition, gems can be exchanged for gold, which can in turn be used to train and upgrade characters at a pace unavailable to regular players. (Drawing the 4-star Calculator demonstrated to me just how severe the discrepancy between different-tier characters really is, and how twitch skill might - at least in the single player game - be relegated to a second fiddle position behind stats and stars. I went from making slow and stick deficiency-hampered but steady progress up the tower, to stampeding and rampaging and mauling my way past three floors, bosses and all, with little effort and just as little skill.) If neither unique character traits, moves, advantages, upgrades or training applies to PvP, I take back my criticism and apologize. But if so, it wasn't apparent to me in online matches. Which might admittedly have nothing to do with the game (Also, do note that I've nothing against you making tons of scores of hoards of money off your game, nor your chosen business model! You obviously deserve it, for a great number of reasons. But selling advantages in PvP is a quick and efficient way to ruin the competitive atmosphere and the resulting community.)
There isn't an unfair advantage for paying players in pvp. To use your Calculator robot, you need to have him occupy four of your 10 total stars on your team. If I were inclined, you would have to beat four Morboks on my team in that same amount of team space. What do you do if I'm a good Morbok player? You probably lose. If you still win, it's not because you paid for it, it's because you beat four friggin Morboks. That's the balance. Plus, if you're playing the game, you'll get enough currency to go around. It's not prohibitive, and it's much better than many games, which I appreciate.
The idea that there's a pay wall (or that iap play a role) is ludicrous. I've only spent money on the stabby guy. I've premium drafted like 25 times. No joke. I have more gems than I know what to do with. I'm actually thinking of dropping them on gold. Play the ####ing game for a bit before you expound on it.
I appreciate everyones input from all sides, all I want to do is get the game up to a standard most people can enjoy It's going to be rocky at the start and I apologize to everyone who has pulled some hair out or kicked a puppy in frustration Im going to take a look at some database stuff now... I just ordered a steelseries controller it arrived after 12 hours (???) I love it already played Muffin Knight and Lego, can't wait to pair this up with our games in due course
I'd still love an update for what your team is saying about the upgrade bug. Currently, there seems to be no reason to eat a character for 5 more levels, as you can't benefit from those 5 levels. I'd hate to think I ate all those morboks (not to mention the 4*'s) for nothing.
nosoup4crr, can you message me your screen name (or reply here?) - i'll try to have a look to see if there's something weird going on in the database first. I'm searching for clues now
downloading Haven't played it yet, but I played a game that is called... Blackmoor? I like that game! Notice this game has the same graphic and characters!! Really looking forward to play it!
