I echoed what Neo said, I used Cloak as my first faction when started out... due to the pretty artwork.. but it was not that beginners friendly...

Jungle Elves is not too bad to start off either, big nasty creature with a little bit of trick events up their sleeves.. :)

And, you've made the right move to get the everything bundle.. way to go :)

Hey! Glad to see you. :)

Neo is right. I learned Phoenix Elves first, then Tundra Orcs and then Guild Dwarves. I'm just now tackling the others. Cloaks are (for me) the hardest to learn and play effectively. One of the devs recommended learning them and Vanguard last.

Whenever you're up for a game, just send me an invite.

Just got killed by Ragnar Furying 4 times in a row. You just gotta sigh, shake your head, and move on.

That is a spectacle to see. Cant they make a replay recording of sorts so we can upload to youtube or something? :)

Would be easier to arbiter for tourneys and such, and people could discuss their tactics in public, and not just between the players themselves.

Welcome to the game scary! :D As the others me mentioned, the beginner friendly factions are PE, GD and TO. Play one or two of them until you get comfortable with the play mechanics then move on to the other factions like JE. If I were to rank the factions from easiest to hardest to become competent at it would be:
    1. TO
    2. GD
    3. PE
    4. JE
    5. FK
    6. VG
    7. CG
    8. CL

I agree, but I think there are some deceptively large drops in here. First off, the difference between TO and GD is a fairly large one. TO, you just summon and smash. The only difficult choices are when/who to Freeze. GD, especially with Reinforcements available, can be a bit tricky. Then, the jump from PE to JE is also very large IMO. PE you surgically strike everything and then unload with high-quality champs. JE play varies incredibly wildly, and you have a lot of tricky and clever actions that you have to be able to predict if you want to set them up. So many of the games where I win with JE, I just imagine my opponent saying to themselves, " Wait, I thought I was winning!". Love them, btw.

It was 7am and I just played my moves without thinking :D

It's okay, I should have lost that match in any case, you had plenty of chances. Left too many holes for you to exploit.

I've racked up way too many losses like that lol. That moment right after you make an error is so bad... at times I have to remind myself to not toss the iPad at a wall :p

You had some terrible dice in that FK game too, but it was the positioning error at the end that cost you. The good thing is more games you lose because of errors the better you'll eliminate them. It takes a while to build a callous against positioning and calculation errors in this game.

Yeah that second game I was never really in it. Didn't play well.

On another note, I just won the most insane game TO VS FK.

I played horribly early on and was being swarmed. He had Skhull and Elut-Bal out and I had 2 magic and no commons.

Luckily, I had a bunch of walls, so what I did, was build walls, hit with ice shards and build everything in my deck to get Krung out. It worked, and Krung single handedly along with Ice Shards took out both champs on some lucky rolls and also a newly summoned Anica. Looks like I'm cruising to victory at this point, and then he manages to possess my Krung with a Phantom

Suddenly, change in fortunes, until I build one of my heroes (they were all at the bottom of my deck ) to summon Blagog. Blagog and my summoner gang Krung, and down him, and that's the game. Unbelievable.

Note to self: never summon something unless you can make immediate use of it...

Wow, winning after getting Krung possessed. That's pretty epic. I love all the crazy stuff that can happen in this game :D

*Clap *clap. Definitely an epic match!

Im not sure how the other player allowed his units to get killed by Ice shards though, that probably helped in bringing out Krung. You were down in Magic and he was ahead with 2 champs. If magic used to bring out Krung were from your discarded cards, he shouldve discarded cards of his own which will still make him ahead in resources and board control.

Other than the truly epic moments in the game, i assume you outplayed your opponent in this match. His early champs were definitely FK nuts draw, but you played your cards well to gain back momentum.

I barely (and using a bit of luck) came back and won a game where a Phantom had possessed a full health Fire Drake. It came down to him missing Elien with his summoner and dying to a Fire Blast.

    Great game Adan!

I can't believe I managed to outright kill Krung, Rukar and Ragnor in a late game battle with just Makeinda Ru and Abua Shi. Gorillas are absolute beasts too, but yeah that was just incredible...

JE have real firepower in their commons. Something I don't think any other faction really has.

Kitkeat, you should have just headed for Abua Shi with Baldar and a Defender at the end, instead of trying to take down Miti.
