It is compatible. It just crashes. A lot. An awful lot. I am hopeful that Playdek can release an update that may help with the problem somewhat, but I'm afraid that it may just be the limitations of the Ipad 1.
This means I can play for another 48h on my iPad 2 and then I am out for two weeks, since I will have only 3G connection via my unsupported iPad 1 So, guys ... Sorry if I will nt accept matches for a while
Shout out to tecwrtr, been having a lot of fun with our games (even though I still have yet to win one). That last PE vrs GD match was an epic finish!
Yeah I've been losing a fair amount to tecwrtr. She plays a hard, solid game. Also, have other people also found their tactics change over time? I first played FK, now I've almost forgotten how to play them. My 3 best factions are GD, CG and VG. I'm awful with PE, CL and JE. No idea how to play them at all :/ CG I've had the most impressive wins with. Beaten some good players with them. Their game makes the most sense to me which is weird considering they're arguably the most math and micro intensive faction and I'm a new player...
I've only had a few wins with CG but when it clicks it's a crushing victory. I really just luck into it though PE are really easy with their guaranteed damage and magic drains. I'm getting better with VG and liking them more and more.
No love for the Fallen? The champs are pretty their offense, and the raised dead become the defense. On the downside, it's a slow faction unless you get some nuts draw. 2nd turn wall+forced summon+champ is usually gg, but there are still outs to it. On the downside, they are too mana hungry (late game needs it for recursion), and slower compared to most factions. Also, the common unit value is a lot less than stellar than other factions.
I've been noticing you guys when you post about Tecwrtr you refer to the person as a SHE. Tecwrtr is female?

Yes and Camzy also. Or so my shot memory says. Karajong13 (sorry if misspelled). I cannot accept new navigations because as long as this game does not work on iPad 1st gen I will probaly be not able to play for ten days as tomorrow due to holidays.
Oh god I hate TO. I havent lost to them yet (but havent played much coz of my current schedule), but they are most annoying. If they get out 4 smashers id smash my head on a wall. And those thwarters can make your stronger champs useless.
Thanks guys! I took the plunge and bought the full game 2 days ago. I am trying to get a feel on the different factions by playing against the AI. Hopefully I will be more familiar with the basics of the games and play with you all soon. Especially looking forward to playing with the regular Ascension folks I always play with.
Quick question about Gror's Hammer Quake attack: "All cards within 2 spaces are affected by the attack". So I have Gror below the enemy wall with the enemy summoner at a top diagonal touching the wall. I figure it's within 2 spaces so I Heroic Feat and attack the wall for 4 hits...nothing on Elian (would have been a kill shot too)! Sadness? Or did I misinterprete yet again and probably added another defeat to my massive pile? XXE XWX XGX
Gror's Hammer Quake forms a diamond pattern with him as the center. An easier way to check if you'll hit is to see if your target is within 2 paces of movement from Gror's position.
Grrr that's what I figured, I'm just grasping at straws now! Hell I figure if I make every darn mistake in the book I'll improve eventually, right? Just played a turn with you and just discovered that the Chant of Negation you played the previous turn also affects my units that I summon, just not the units already on the board. Which was real sadness for my Fire Drake and I think Elian gets the dirt nap when you're up
Hey Emos, Think this was our GD vs PE game you're talking about here. I remember seeing you playing the Heroic Feat on Gror and thinking "Oh No - he's misjudging the area of impact - don't waste it, don't waste it!". I know I've lost at least a couple games due to the same misjudgement - at first I kept thinking it was just 2 orthogonal spaces in each direction, but found out the hard way that wasn't correct either. Took me a while to figure out it was the Diamond pattern Sapphire_Neo mentioned earlier - that card (and several others) are confusingly worded. And yeah, if it would have hit, it would have been a game over!
