Cards like him are split down the middle. Tapping the left side of the card enables the normal move, while tapping the right side enables the special ability. If you're on the iPad it's easier to tap the left side once you know that's what you need to do. On the iPhone or iPod touch you'll probably need to zoom in on the map to make sure you get the left side. The icon for movement should also be the special ability S icon. So the answer is 3. You're missing something, even though you didn't know there was something you missed. While trying to move you inadvertently told the game you were activating his ability even though you didn't move beyond your normal range.
I'll have to check next time but cards with abilities like that usually glow on the right side and I've already been burned twice by the dumb bird that goes back to your hand, so I typically am now very careful about that. But you're probably right. Thanks for the quick response. Much appreciated.
It would be super awesome if @playdeck would make SW playable on PC like Cabals or Shadow Era. iPhone is too small to fully enjoy this game and buying iPad just for few "board" games is not an option for me. I would rather pay more $ to play it on my PC and when I'm mobile use iphone for it. and... it could bring more audience which means more money for developers
I have a couple of forfeits because I accidently accepted games that were 30 minute invites and I just simply didn't check the game length and let the time run out. Be sure to check those invites.
is anyone having trouble creating games online? The game is crashing on me whenever I create a new game. Also tried restarting the app. Anyone knows a fix for this?
Looks like the scope of the game and the large userbase is starting to take its toll on the servers and on the devs.
I don't see a big issue with forfeiting a game. Maybe it's just the chess player in me who thinks it's bad form to not resign a lost position. Either way I guess I'll start playing the game through even if I am getting killed.
I see no problem either. I just forfeited one to avoid few rounds of cat and mouse ending in my loss anyhow. I am no good, so feel free to play with me.
Smashers give me a hard time when using Cloaks especially with CL's low attacks. Almost always my Assassinations target them more than other commons, so as not to waste 3 or 4 attacks on each Smasher in a turn. I love the summoner though, and the tricks he can do, but damn is this faction so hard to master because of that.
Ya as a chess player I too resign in lost positions. Its even considered bad manners in chess to not resign a lost position.
The number of turns separating a forfeit and a completed loss are generally very few though. And it's not like that running game is stopping you from playing a new game since the whole thing is async. If I find myself in a no-win situation with a unit close to my summoner I usually self kill him/her, but if it's just the summoner and we're decked with almost no chance of winning it's best to just face the strongest unit on the board or a position where the opponent can roll as many dice as he wants. It's true that dragging things out can be frustrating but I would even do that if it's a very close showdown since I know the dice can turn at any minute for even a 4 dice miss. Forfeits just look bad on a profile imo.
Looks bad when people think they are because people forfeiting are sore losers. In reality (and I guess it is the chess player in met too as for others), forfeiting is a recognition of superiority of the opponent. It is a compliment. The rest is for me actually more silly (if not childish when drag gin along a match hoping for a silly mistake).
It can be a recognition of superior strategy and tactics if that was the case. However, given the nature of how dice can affect the result of a game, a win or a winning position is not always a clear indicator of superiority. If I have scratched on many critical rolls in a game there's no way I'm giving the opponent an easy win. And playing out a game to its completion can be just as much of a compliment to the opponent.
Come on. If you are left with two units including your summoner vs much more, it makes no sense. Winning by pure running around and luck in rolls is not worth it. At least not to me
The conditions for a no-win situation are obviously varying, and if it's a real no win situation I would just kill my summoner or take my medicine. But if there's even a slight chance of a win I'm not going to give up needlessly. A win is a win, no matter how it comes, especially if I'm playing a weaker faction against something like PE/GD/TO.
