Another player for the rooster. GC name is "Ayjona". I'll play on irregular and peculiar times, without much pattern or purpose, and will probably have the time to log in and make my moves 1-5 times a day. I haven't had the time to actually go into custom strategy territory, beyond a thorough understanding of the game rules and whopping the silly AI all about the place, and with my mystical propensity for unknowingly being drawn to underpowered or hard to master and thus easily defeated factions in strategy games (I can't even claim the pride of choosing them on purpose, for the challenge), I favour Cloaks, of course. So, I'm probably best suited for other newcomers, and possibly very lazy or experimental veterans.
that would explain why everyone plays me with these factions with the exception of a few jungle elves
I just realized the reason why PE is so popular... It's free. LOL. I want to play VG, but i hate that wimpy looking character. The champs look wicked though.
...Well, yes, but people do have to buy something to play online, so they would have at least a second race.
Underestimated VG cause of her wimpy look once and got raped by 2 priests with 2 event buff, its a nightmare trust me
I just beat GD with VG against someone who is possibly even more unlucky than me. His deck was a mess, his rolls were missing (not that I was hitting a lot). This was the same guy who rolled badly with PE. I hope he's not just taking it easy on me... Haha he picked TO next game... And I picked CL this is going to be a massacre.
I tried vg vs to .... What s up with such a weak faction? I mean je are so good, but vg is so boring and just easily destroyed.
Sorry to bump this, but I don't think it was spotted... Outwitters has caught up and is now within 3 votes of Summoner Wars, so if you want to support SW and Playdek, go vote now!
While I do agree that the game has received surprisingly little media attention (for all the shortcomings in the async implementation, and possible issues with UI and controls, it really is one of a kind and offers a rare and deeply tactical async experience for iOS, and brings the mechanics and strengths of the very, very well-made physical product to our mobile devices), my guess is that TA are preparing a thorough review. They have covered Ascension fairly well (though strangely not Nightfall), with both a review, and three smaller pieces, and hopefully this indicates that they keep a close watch on Playdek.
I did my part already... let's gather around and casts our votes. This game needs all the exposures it can get. It will be a major endorsement to Playdeck to bring new IPs into the iOS platform in the future as well. On the other hand, I'm not sure if i'm really a bad player, ppl here are destroying me left and right. LOL. Is there a way to tell how many cards you have left in your library? I see magic pile, discard pile, is it the center ones? I might have to start customize those core decks. I see a lot of fancy cards from other players
Should. just personal stats don't update immediately. Interesting to note that while TO has the highest win percentage they actually have a losing record versus GD, while GD sports a winning percentage against every faction.
VG requires a little learning. Firstly you need to maintain low board presence, which can be hard since you start with commons that are not easy to self kill. Then, that low board presence also requires your discard pile to have at least 2 cards for Summoning Surge to be fully useful. After that just wait for your champs to hit the board and support them by staying close to them with Sera. Sera can heal 2 wounds on a champ for 1 Magic, which is a great ability. Swap out the stock champs for big hitting champs, few of which are Mercs like Grubs and Mal. You also need to keep Jacob in there, his Heaven's Rain is great. Finally, you can sometimes use your priests to ambush the enemy with the Holy Judgment event. Which is why GD is my go to confidence building faction, even if I get stomped every now and then because of their summoner's pathetic ability In other news, a surprisingly fair review of Le Havre, but still no mention of one of the biggest games to come out last week.
Im trying to build a custom CL deck but i am unsure which approach to take. Should I use more Thieves or do i take more snipers? I like scrappers so i think im not going to have less than 7 copies. Are Slashers worth it? Which one's more consistent in terms of balance in offense and defense: Hawk or Violet? Any tips on making the deck and using them? I still cant figure this faction out.
You need thieves they're very valuable in hand in general. Anytime you'd use a gunner use a sniper instead (i think). Scam and Admiral for sure I'd say. Maybe Magos if you wanna go theif/raid heavy strat. Violets decent I suppose. Maybe Dagger. CL really wants a 3 damage hero but doesnt really have access to a reliable one. A few slashers are good to have your summoner copy their ability to give him a 30% chance to deal a lot of damage. good vs other champs/summoners. most time probably end up as magic though... just a few things i've seen. never really played them myself.
