      Does anyone know of any app similar to Summerboard for a non jailbroken iPod Touch?
      I had Summerboard on my 1st gen Touch, and i'd like it again, but I don't want to have to jailbreak my Touch.

      Apple doesn't allow themes to run for non-jailbroken devices. There aren't any apps like that.

      Just jailbreak again. It takes 5 minutes with redsn0w on 3.0.

      Ok. One more question. Will any summerboard theme work on firmware 3.0 for the Ipod Touch 2nd gen?

      1. It's called Winterboard now.
      2. Probably not. I'm not sure though.

      Themes should work fine now, just don't overdo it with flashy animations and the like or it'll actually take up your iPod's memory. :)

      Well, so far i'm glad i haven't jailbroken it as yet. I've searched the net, and haven't been able to find a half descent Winterboard theme.

      You haven't searched enough then. There are quite a few decent themes out of the hundreds of crap ones.
      Macthemes and ModMyi have plenty.

      I found a few, but if i remember correctly, these themes will only convert the Ipod standard icons and not the app icons i download. I remember one that i had on my 1st gen Touch, and hopefully i'll find it again.

      Themes usually won't come with icons based on apps you download, because the icons are made by people so it takes time to do. You can find a lot of icons related to the themes and then just simply SSH into your iPod to overwrite the icons.
