Awww yeah!!! I'm totally stoked for The Avengers, Spiderman, TDK and TBL!!' Battleship looks like it could be good... Pixar's Brave looks entertaining, too. Im always up for Pixar.
There are a lot of movies Im looking forward to next year. The obvious two are Avengers and TDKR. But I also think Spiderman will be good. The cast for it is quite talented. Also I think bourne will work out because Jeremy Renner is unreal.
The Avengers (May 4, 2012) - With the exception of the first Iron Man Marvel's movies tend to be mediocre. I'm sort of looking forward to this one but I'll wait for a rental. Dark Shadows (May 11, 2012) - A vampire movie based on a decades old soap opera sounds like a film to avoid IMO. Battleship (May 18, 2012) - I could not stop laughing at the trailer. It's the mainstream CGI campiness of Transformers attached to a board game property. Cheaper then a lobotomy but probably more painful. Men In Black 3 (May 25, 2012) - The first one was decent, the second was unnecessary and this one has time travel. Pass. Snow White and the Huntsman (June 1, 2012) - Exactly like Twilight only attached to a much older property. Maybe I'm thinking of that Red Riding Hood movie, didn't they made one of those? Prometheus (June 8, 2012) - Looks good, I may actually see this one in theaters. Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter (June 22, 2012) - I haven't seen a trailer so I'm thinking this could go ether way. Disney Pixar Brave (June 22, 2012) - Pixar's flawless streak of blockbusters ended with Cars 2. The trailer for Brave lacked that typical Pixar flair and I think it's going to continue that trend. The Amazing Spider-Man (July 3, 2012) - Another super hero franchise reboot. I've lost interest in the entire subgenre and plain to ignore this one as much as possible. The Dark Knight Rises (July 20, 2012) - I'm one of the few people that enjoyed Batman Begins more then Dark Knight and I'm not too enthusiastic about this one. This is one of those rare cases where I'll see it in a theater even though my expectations are low. Step Up 4 (July 27, 2012) - They will never stop making these horrible dance movies. Save your time and money, watch Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo instead. The Bourne Legacy (August 3, 2012) - I hate the way the Bourne movies are shot and Matt Damon is an unconvincing action star. Total Recall (August 3, 2012) - The original Total Recall is my favorite movie of all time so as far as I'm concerned this doesn't exist. Like most generic remakes of 20 year old films and TV shows it'll be forgotten six months after it's released on DVD. Remember that A-Team movie? Nether do I. The Expendables 2 (August 17, 2012) - I skipped over the first one but isn't Stallone getting a little too old for this shit? I can understand doing a new Rocky and Rambo but a new franchise is a little much. EDIT: Warm Bodies (August 10, 2012) - Just when I thought Hollywood couldn't get any more spineless and bland along comes zombie twilight.
DID YOU REALLY JUST SAY THAT...? *coughs up blood* Did you not see that horrific trailer for the movie...? I was at a friends house and we were all passing the trailer around on his iPod laughing at it because it just looked so f*cking ridiculous. I mean flat out RETARDED. This is not opinion, this is fact. hahahahaah In all seriousness though, that trailer explained nothing.. It started out with some lame love scene, followed by progressive garbage of half-assed acting. The drama that came from the trailer in that movie... well... let's just say I have seen better acting from extras in Godzilla movies. And the fact that the "aliens" (or whatever in the f*ck they were) were shooting PEGS at the human ships, makes it an all around incredibly horrid movie proposition. Needless to say, and despite all of this shit I am talking, me and all my friends are getting smashed and going to see it in theaters when it comes out. It just strikes you as one of those horrible movies that just... just looks like too much fun to pass up. Next in line: The Game of Life...the Movie. Edit: I see all kinds of trailers for this movie, and they all look terrible. Trying to find the one I saw... Edit 2: Here it is.
I just choked. Wow, I'm fine with people who don't like the Bourne series and/or Matt Damon, but EVERYONE praises it for its extremely realistic camera-work. It is one of the series's biggest strengths and critical successes. I cannot believe you hate the way the movies are shot. Really goes to show everyone has different opinions. Anyway, definitely looking forward to how Legacy carries on the series without Damon.
March is the new Summer? I'm excited for: 1. The Dark Knight Rises- Best of the summer! 2. Snow White and the Huntsman- Big fan of Kristen Stewart. 3. Avengers- All other avengers movies were decent enough for me so this is a must see for me. 4. Prometheus (?) The maybes (probably watch them anyway): 1. MIB 3- Gotta love Will Smith 2. John Carter- Looks very, very interesting... 3. Ice Age 4- Loved Dawn of the Dinosaurs, other two movies before it were horrible. 4. Premium Rush- Looks like a good thriller 5. Battleship- Another Transformers-like movie 6. Brave- Most Pixar movies are good... 7. The Hunger Games- Need to read the books first. Movies that might be good but the trailers ruined it for me: 1. The Amazing Spider-Man- Lame title and lame Mirror's Edge-like trailer. Hopefully the reviews will be good. 2. Bourne Legacy- No Bourne? WTF?! 3. Madagascar 3- Have not seen the first two. 4. G.I. Joe- Nah. 5. Mirror, Mirror- Going to call it now-- maybe the worst movie of the summer.
LOL. No, I have not seen the trailer. I was really just saying "Battleship looks like it could be good..." because I have seen neither trailers or screenshots or even a plot synopsis, I just enjoyed the board game as a kid. I will however, watch the trailer you have provided me now.
Wow. That does look pretty terrible. Should've just left it as a board game... Btw, does anybody else agree with me that the Spider-Man's costume in the new movie is a bit...weird?
It's fine for a tv show but it just sound so old school (which it is) imo. I'd rather have it as "The Spider-Man." The trailer didn't do justice for me so I guess I'll have to wait and see how the reviews are..

Dark Knight Rises Trailer was released today. I really cant wait. It was also a well made trailer. Setting the premise but not giving much away.
I really hope you aren't one of those people that can't see the movie for what it is, an effects laden popcorn flick and nothing more. It isn't meant to be anything else. So if you go see the movie don't act like you are cooler than everyone else and make fun of it so loudly (because you are with your buds) that you ruin the movie for everyone in the theater. I have been to quite a few movies where some jackasses come in and do this, like they are too smart for a movie like this. I got news for em, if this isn't your type of movie stay home, because everyone in the theater already knows this isn't going to have great acting or a believable plot, they came for the roller coaster. Sorry if that doesn't represent you, I just find it irritating when people think they are so much smarter because they can recognize a "bad" movie. newsflash! everyone can, you aren't special. That aside this looks like it will be fun to go see. CGI alien robots, carriers, some random hot chick of the day, and tons of exploding crap sounds like a recipe for a fun couple of hours.
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel And if that was't crazy enough, the 1st trailer for The Hobbit, comes 10pm tonight EST.
Quite an impressive lineup to look forward. I know I'll definitely be frequenting the movies again. Those two trailers were great. Still have quite a few winter movies to enjoy though! Tin Tin, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Hugo, and MI:GP..still need to see those. Looking forward to Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers the most, followed by The Hobbit.
