or how about a map with a choke point, like land based enemies have to cross a river at bridge? or a fixed path map?
How about enviromental factors effecting the enemies? like a swamp and if you route them throught the mushy area it slows them down.
1. a map with water where you put ur towers on small islands and the enemies can swim or fly overhead this could be like special level - basically an ocean map 2. a level in the sky could be cool this could also be an unlock-able level for the hardcore players 3. unlockable levels would be cool 4. an earthquake tower with a certain radius which can only be used once which destroys enemies in its area and downgrades the towers near its vicinity [this could happen on the harder difficulty]
How about getting some type of super power after gaining a certain amount of medals so the higher amount you get the better the superpower.
Fixed pathways, more terrain, endless mode (and local leaderboards that come along with it), different factions.
A map that either: a) feature's terrain that randomly changes (land turns into lakes, lakes into hills, hills to flat land, etc) b) portals to redirect enemies, but work only when the two portals are within a certain distance of each other
I suggest having unlockable tower types and maps in sets or individually, with each new set of towers (like three more or less) or maps, or individual tower types or maps being directly linked to achievements which once earned/unlocked/completed/etc., would be available for use/purchase/order/etc. in the game. I hope expressed that clearly enough to understand... Oh, also since there was mention of environmental effects, etc., is it possible to make a tower type that creates weather changes/effects? Such as tornadoes, hurricanes, landslides, earthquakes (which would stop them for a brief period of time), floods, lightning storms, etc.? It could become pretty complicated, but I am just trying to throw out some ideas!
I would suggest an island map where you can call in a hurricane. And possibly add a Bluetooth mode for multiplayer. Also add achievments which can give you points to unlock equipment of some sort

I agree with the unlockable towers, and I don't know if this has been mentioned, but the ability to upgrade those towers. Also, is there already and endless mode for Battlefields? If not, that should definitely be implimented. Oh, and a tower that you can only use once every certain amount of rounds (and you have to pay for it), that would hurt everything on the map.
I have 2 suggestions: 1) Multiplayer over WiFi so my wife and I can play cooperatively. We loved Pixel Junk on the PS3 because we like to play co-op and want something like that for our iPhones. 2) A "nuke" option where we can nuke an area as a last defensive measure - I'm willing to lose a few towers in the process.
