Don't understand why you're trying to debunk opinions. I criticized CSO for those very reasons you're trying to disprove. I've played lots of great games with controls that took getting used to, and I'm pretty sure everyone who holds that opinion about it are familiar with the concept of a learning curve. The difference is I felt the potential in those games and wanted to invest the time in them. I don't feel that at all with CSO; haven't played it once since right after I bought it.
So you just proved my point, that you need to spend more time with the controls to get used to them =/
I'll play 'Jump the Cat' for 7 hours and be better at jumping the cat (harhar) then I was at first. Doesn't mean it's a good game and doesn't mean I'll enjoy it.
Wild West Guns- glad I paid only a dollar for it. Too short in my opinion. Ten more levels and this game will still be short. Uniwar- too long and too boring. Siberian Strike- another short and repetitive game. Last level was cool though. Iron Man- Repetitive and gets boring fast. Graphics at good but movie kind of games sucks. Batmobile, the other. Hero of Sparta- run and they jump for you. Graphics are ok. Heavy Mach- tilt one way and shoot. Was very addicted but lost it. Strategic Assault- worst of them all. Enough said. Dr. Awesome- was addicted until I got mad at all the deaths after one day, two days, three... Chess Classics- graphics are great, gameplay not good at all. The AI does he same move... Especially when I picked a certain way, it was predestined or something. And so much more...
Sooo true about dr. awesome. Such a stupid concept, to force you to play EVERY day, and the difficulty getting close to impossible.
Forgot about this one. Double-jumping made the game too easy, but if you couldn't it'd be too hard. Ejecting shell cartridges from that one update was a nice visual touch, though.
Sorry I agree with Bat's. CS.one is amazing, given the chance. An update has been pending for 2 weeks, that drastically increases the performance, handling, graphics, and the lag is nearly gone. Perhaps when it's live you could give it another shot?
I felt this way about sonic because of how it ran, but on my 3GS I picked up today, it's silky... I will actually play this now. I never had a Mega Drive (Genesis) only got to play briefly on other peoples as a kid.
Escape: The Room iTunes listed it as free, gave me the "Item is being updated" notice when I tried to download it. Came back a bit later, punched the "Get App" button, got charged $0.99 Bad enough to pay a buck for something I thought was free, but the game is terrible as well. Only one real puzzle in the entire game, it can be completed in about 30 taps (including tapping "OK" on prompts!) This is the only game I've purchased that I've deleted and never want to see again...
Battle At Sea: One of those games that I bought withpromises of multi player (the only reason why I bought it) and they vanished in a puff of smoke. Strangely, they waxed lyrical about how the on-line multi was imminent on their support site....well, so much for promises! The only dev that has truly pi**ed me off. If they didn't manage to sort out on-line multi in the end, for what ever reason, all they needed to do was say so. But they haven't up-dated the app page which states that it's 'coming soon' for oooh....a year! And the support site is dead. So I have given up......pathetic!
I did, got some initial responses regarding someone contacting me, being reviewed, etc. Never did see the credit, didn't feel like wasting much time on it for the buck. Did spend the time to post a negative review in iTunes, feel free to look up the game and peg it as useful... BTW - in case anyone has run into a situation where they need to report anything to Apple and needs to know how (it took me a while to find this) you have to go into your account in iTunes, view your purchase history, then click the "Report a problem" button.
Car Jack Streets It's not a terrible game but the real-time feature is just a horrible, awful idea that completely ruins the experience. A single player game on a casual/mobile platform shouldn't force you to play every few days or lose all of your progress, especially when it takes 3-6 months to beat the game.
