You know - I don't know if this is "sucky games" or "most disappointing"

Some people can't tell the difference or maybe it's the same thing to them.

I have a longer list of what disappoints me compared to which game imo sucks.

Remember everyone we are talking about games that actually SUCK. Not games that didn't appeal to you. For example Rolando is a very well polished and produced game, but it doesn't appeal to everyone. So saying Rolando SUCKS is really harsh; the same goes for any game that clearly shows a lot of work went into it. So now here are games that SUCK and why they do:

Dungeon and Hero: Horrible framerate, bad controls and bad looping music. The game was nothing but a grind fest and the story was practically non existent, which is a HUGE no no in RPGs.

Anything made by DS Effects: Explaining why those games suck would just be stating the obvious :D.

Pangea Games (except for Enigmo)- All their games are bad ports and the only original title "Antimatter" lacked so much to make it not worth anyone's time. Not to mention they drove everyone nuts with their price jogging. One day it was 9.99 the next 10mins it is 2.99 then .99 and before you knew it back up to 7.99. I lost a lot of respect for them and I avoid their titles at all costs.

Prey Invasion - could have been good with more effort, but instead it is a pale, pale shadow of the desktop game with far too few enemies, whose AI is exceptionally stupid, and whose length is much too short. Worse yet, even as a short game it has zero replayability which is criminal.

Terminator Salvation - could have been good, but woefully short and the ending is utterly laughable; stupidly, it is also the easiest part of the game by far. Ditto the zero replayability.

Super Monkey Ball - sorry, but by the time they got the controls half right for me I had grown too frustrated with it to even bother trying any more.

Wolfenstein 3D - well implemented and a successful FPS control scheme, but just like every other id game, a complete snoozefest to actually play.

I don't mind Wolfenstein, and you are right, it's a little boring, but you CANNOT say that Doom or Quake is a "snoozefest". Those games have action blowing out their asses. I absolutely can't wait for Doom's release on the iDevices.

I can say Doom and Quake (btw, I meant as single player games, not MP ones - neglected to mention that in my original post). Compared to Marathon, Doom and its sequels lacked any atmosphere or sense of purpose and were just a run, shoot, kill, run, shoot, kill boring game like Wolf3D. Quake was OK to begin with but also gets very predictable and dull. Doom 3 was fantastic atmospherically to begin with, but quickly got repetitive and dull again (ooh walk down corridor, scary bumping sound, fat man wobbling at me. Shoot, kill, walk down corridor, scary bumping sound, fat man wobbling at me again. Shoot, kill, walk down corridor, scary bumping sound... ad infinitum with occasional diversions which aren't that interesting or even challenging to overcome). I'd much rather play Marathon on an iPhone than Doom, but both game series are badly dated now.

Edit: My own opinion of course. I know it isn't the same for others.

I totally disagree. But that is my opinion. In fact, I hate the multiplayer for Doom. Quake's different, but still.

Yay! I can blow the dust off of it and get to playing again. But I still can't believe they released this game with the worst controls.

Opinions are like @$$holes, everyone has one.

I think a thread like this is useless as the answer to that question is purely subjective.

i think threads like this can be very beneficial for the toucharcade community. if there is an obvious consensus that a game blows, it probably does and you can therefore be confident in your decision not to buy and save some cash...sounds helpful to me....

    Days of Thunder!

Days of Thunder is definitely the suckiest game I've pad for - not sure if I was expecting it to be good but it just plain sucks - balancing is way out - in order to make up for the controls your car just goes way faster than the drones, but when you catch them up you just wipe out.

  17. Alien Abuse, Base Ball Superstars, Bloons, Bomber Online, Brothers In Arms, Car Jack Streets, Dropship, Metal Gear Solid Touch, Spore Origins, 7DA Mutation, Rogue Touch, Inotia, and many other games I can't remember because I deleted them.

    All in my own opinion...onion...crayola...granola...sorry.

Zen Bound. I hated this game so much and i guess it falls under the category of 'sucky'. I actually wrapped some rope round some wood, it was just as boring as this game.
