24 hour challenge? where is it and what is it? havent seen anything that's a 'mystery box' in the last hour i have played. unless its "inside the train or something" oh well.. if anyone got it let me know what it was .. /mo ...edit crap found it: i already have this :S
Game Impressions Well I am new to the forum but not the game. I love this game, just stupid addicting lol. Though I want to say that I owned this trick board for months now, so the 24 hour event was useless to me. I have some comments and criticisms of the game, mostly glowing positive, but a couple of little niggles. Anyway, is this the right place to post them? I looked for different threads, but the Subway Surfers forum on this site seems to have only two very long threads? Is that right, or am I missing something?

Well being probably like the ONLY person on the planet disappointed with GTA V, I started a run yesterday and before I went to bet (and after pausing for needed breaks) I had 20 million points showing with about 165 thousand coins, and best of all NO Save Me keys used yet. So now, on and off at work, between patients, I am still on that same run, just a hair under 30 million points showing, about 240,000 coins collected so far, and best of all, only ONE Save Me key used so far. My high score is 47.8 million, and I think I will definitely beat that on this run. If I remember correctly, getting that 47+ million meant I had, I think about 36 million points showing and however many coins, which got added into my score to make that high. I would love to see if I can get to 50 million showing + coins...not sure what the final score would be after the coins are added to a cool 50 mill.
lol You're being funny, right? On the off chance you're serious, you have a little pause button icon on the upper left hand corner of the screen (looks like the pause button of a recording device) and that allows you to pause your run at will. One tip: (Again assuming you aren't pulling my leg, which you probably are) DO NOT ever, EVER, EVER hit the home button while in the pause screen or it will bring you back to the main game screen and end your run for you. They really need to fix that, by the way! A simple "Are you sure you want to end your run?" prompt would be very nice! I accidentally hit "Home" several times and it SUCKS! ;(

lol No, you're not stupid. You just didn't know. Oh, God, no way would I EVER have a high score in the tens of millions if it were not possible to pause the game. I have found, experimentally, that it takes roughly 10 minutes to have 1 million points showing (plus coins), assuming you are using the Score Booster and have 30X multiplier, of course. So, for every 1 million showing, you're talking 10 minutes. So ten million showing means about 100 minutes of playtime, etc. When I scored my high above, I had about 36 million showing, the final score being calculated with that raw score plus coins...so that means it took about 360 minutes of actual playing time, which is SIX HOURS of in-game time, not counting pauses. Holy crap, could you imagine trying to play this game for six hours without so much as the ability to pause to take a piss? So in reality, that 6 hours to get my high score probably took place over three or so days! Oh, and tl;dr? To answer your question, when the game is paused, you can just go to another app, however your device allows it. THen you can go back to your run any time ya like! On my Android phone, I hit the home button to bring me to the home screen and the game stays paused until I want to play again. Same with my iPad.

I believe he is talking about the HOME button in the Pause menu, next to SETTINGS and RESUME. Not your device's physical Home key.
Yes, thanks! I phrased that poorly, but that is what I meant. To reiterate more clearly: The Home button on the bottom of the Subway Surfer's Pause screen is VERY VERY BAD! The Home Button on your device is what you should press to get to other apps while your game is paused if you want to get back to the game eventually!
New High Score Well I hit a new high score today on that run I had mentioned before. Overall Final Score: 52,169,310, which beats my previous score of 47+ million. I actually could have gotten higher but (I guess because I was playing so long and it was a few days before that run since I had closed out and restarted the game) the game was lagging in spots, inconveniently at the very end of some Jet Packs, which caused a lot of near misses and two crashes in that run. ONce or twice when the game was behaving like that, the game eventually crashed back to the iOS of my iPad, and while that only happened once or twice on this iPad, in six months since I bought it, I didn't want to push my luck, because a crash would have cost me both my high score AND the over 300 thousand coins I collected, not to mention the ton of Mystery Boxes and super Mystery Boxes from challenges. So when I crashed that last time, rather than forking up 16 keys to keep going, I figured I would quit while I was ahead, and before the game maybe crashed.
It should come Wednesday night or Thursday morning depending on your time zone. I say this because when I bought the last exclusive character and board, the game said there were "28 days left," and that was 4 weeks ago this coming Wednesday. Plus, I believe the city always updates on Wednesdays/thursdays.

The new surfer member, Eddy the Wicked Wizard just joined up with the surfer team in New Orleans, and is looking forward to surf the subway on his Pumpkin board. The Weekly Hunt continues, and this time Pumpkins are of course scattered around the tracks! Weve also added a heap of new missions involving the Power Jumper - We hope youll find them challenging As always, feedback and questions are very welcome - Ill do my best to answer.
