GameCenter Achievement Hey Jeppe, there is one achievement that is still aren't unlocking!!! "We got a Winner" I got so many times more than 5000. So please check it for the next Update!!! Thanks
Hey! Yes, unfortunately that specific achievement has been bugging us. I am certain that it should not be a problem in the next update
My advice - make a free pack of all locations till last update. I love Rio de Janeiro but i can't play it because of new update with Sidney. I want to make a choice of locations before start playing - NY, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Sidney etc.
Would you be willing to download a file that's way beyond the 50Mb limit? The game could easily quadruple in size if it were to include all textures. Even if you were ok with the file size (like me, I wouldn't care if it ends up being 1GB) but file size ranks pretty high on the complaints list of many users, I would say a close second right next to IAP/Freemium models. So it's not a matter of "just include all locations already!"
Tokyo update Hi Exciting things happening in Subway Surfers, guys! In this update we are going to blooming springtime Tokyo with the Subway Surfer team's newest friend, charming Harumi and her limited Kitty board. As a lot of you have requested, we are bringing back the "Hunt" feature. You can now surf your way to a new prize every week, some harder to get than others! We have also added a bunch of missions, which should give everyone at X30 a fresh challenge Once again we would love to hear your feedback, and if you have any questions, I'll make sure to answer them.
I already play Subway Surfers every single day to keep the Super Mystery Box going. But the weekly challenges have pretty much guaranteed that I will be spending way more time playing. The character, board and theme are as usual top notch. Great update team. Thank you!
Tokyo Update I really like the new update and I am very happy you have added some form of hunts again. The new character is very cut and I love the colours used in this update. I just have some concerns about the new surfboard. You have used a rising sun symbol on the upper side of it. This is very offensive, especially in Asian countries like China and Korea, as this is the symbol of imperial Japan and the war crimes commited by them during the World War 2. It is like if you had a swastika on it. If you do not now about the war crimes you can google it to get an idea about what this symbol used to stand for and still is a reminder of. Therefor I wish this could be removed from the game as soon as possible. Otherwise the new update is fun and enjoyable. Hope you will be more careful in your use of symbols from here on.
I especially like the way they put vending machines in the subway stations. The theme is really nice. The weekly challenge is another good side mission. It makes it a little bit harder to play by placing those items in some awkward () positions. Ouch.
Wow. I need to brush up on my history. All I knew about the Rising Sun symbol was that it represented Japan. Saw it in cartoons, TV shows, etc. Didn't know it carried negative connotations.
Yes it does, unfortunately. People can go on a march or protest just because of that, at least in the place I live, probably because of the massacre and rape during the war times.
@dev: would it be possible to add a toggle music on/off? I end up playing it muted as I don't enjoy the tune, and then get frustrated with the lack of sfx.
Thanks for your feedback. We certainly didn't mean to offend anyone, but we have received a lot of feedback on this and are taking actions to fix it as soon as possible. Our research has definitely not been thorough enough and I truly apologize to anyone who might be offended by this symbol. We will do our best to remedy the situation - the change on Android will be the fastest due to the submission process, but iOS will follow shortly after. And we are taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen again. Again I apologize.
With the new design in the elevated platforms section of the track, I'm tempted to move into the new open area to see what's in the vending machines. Quality response.
Sorry, but which ones are the vending machines? (unless my concept of vending machines is different, I don't think I've run into them. ) are they in the commercial area with neon signs with forks on them? Loving the green circular tunnels and the bamboo forest. Couldn't help but notice the Sun is on the entrance of some tunnels as well. It's probably not my business and I'm sure it's being taken care of along with the board. Just thought I'd mention it.
I can definitely see why that feature would be nice to have and a lot of people have suggested it. It's in the pipeline, but simply we haven't had the time yet
I definitely haven't run ino those then. Thanks a lot for the reference B2! Edit: I'm also curious, do the signs translate to anything? Like the paper lanterns or other items with characters on them.
As far as I can tell (though I am not a Japanese), those are placeholder characters. They don't resemble any Kanji or Kana that I have come across. Some of those characters even look like Korean. And now you can collect keys during the run.
