Is there a reason why this game runs at 60fps on my s3, but only 30fps on my ipad 4? I remember seeing a coworker playing this on her ipad 3 and it was 30fps there as well.

Well, maybe technically speaking, but it still flies in the face of three or more decades worth of gaming convention.

Kiloo did it on purpose so players can see how much their coin total is at the end of the run without it subtracting itself.

This is a formal request regarding coin.

Could you please consider a review on the prices? For a hardcore and loyal fan, I feel it's a bit of a grind and almost impossible to gain enough coin to purchase all the items released. I've yet to unlock any of the first batch of new characters. I've been focusing on the limited ones but I'd like to unlock the old ones at some point.

I ask for a price review because even though I would gladly pay for a coin tripler or quintupler, implementing more IAP like that might be viewed in a negative light.

Wow haha hilarious that you saw my post that was ages ago came by to see if this game had any new updates besides new boards and unattainable characters but i see that's basically it, which is a shame.

What I would love to see is a paid SEQUEL to Subway Surfers with different characters with different abilities and different maps. I would gladly pay $4.99 for such a game and I'm sure many others would as well.

How hard could it be? Upgrade the free game from time to time but give the people willing to pay a higher quality gaming experience.

I am not complaining at all but take it as if im a parent that wants to see his kid reach his highest potential. Yeh making the varsity basketball team is great, but im sure every parent wants to see their kid make the NBA, same goes for you Kiloo. You have possibly the best runner out for iOS, with the best controls out there, take it to the next level man!

    That's definitely an interesting suggestion.
We are currently looking at possible ways to make the cities available again, but so far haven't found a good solution. I'll forward it to our design team.

You have make a wonderful work in the visuals on the other cities. It will be a little bit down after all these cities and the different stages to have only one theme in the future... I think a collectors paid edition is a nice solution for the dedicate players (i don't think they ll have problem to download a bigger app than 50mb) and also you can keep your main free edition as you plan to do it (lighter than 50mb) for the millions of casual players around the world.

I would gladly pay for a premium edition. But something must be done with all the scores and unlocked content. I wouldn't want to start from scratch.

Are the Easter Eggs "unique"? As in if I miss one, will I have to wait until that section of level is reloaded and try to get the same egg again? Or are eggs just simply randomly generated and I'll eventually get 100 pretty easily?

Just wondering if I absolutely have to try to get the ones on top of archways that require jump boots to reach.

The speed at which these new, limited characters and boards are being thrown out there is simply too fast for most to get them, and, hey, if that's the point, making them rare to have so the whales feel smug in dropping around $10/month to have them all, fine, but I just plain gave up. I still have functional upgrades I haven't purchased because I was chasing the ~95K limited characters but seeing as it's been made into a monthly "tax", unless there's one that really, really grabs my attention for some reason, it's just wasted effort on the devs' parts in my opinion.

This really is the best runner on iOS as far as I can tell, but as recent posts have highlighted, it's held up by a bizarre IAP scheme. $5 for the coin doubler, fine, bought it without much hesitation, it is, after all, an excellent game, but $10/month to collect character models for an endless runner is simply nuts, and the amount of game play to get all the stuff by playing even with the coin doubler is way past nuts. It's as though Kiloo isn't satisfied to be the best runner on iOS, no, they want to be the only game you're playing, and that's not happening here. As a, I want to kill 5 minutes game, it's incredible, but a lot of the artist's work is simply going to waste.

This is the best runner in the app store but it has the POTENTIAL to be better.

    Unique character abilities
    Easier unlocking
5-10 built in levels instead of making them available temporarily

These are the things that will further this game in the future

Quite frankly, using this engine and creating a new game would be a fantastic idea as well. If temple run can be reskinned why cant subway surfers?

Thanks for ignoring my previous post!

It sounds like something is wrong with our setup on the iPad 4. The difference shouldn' be that much. Thanks for reporting!

Thanks for the game! I'd love all those cities (I missed most of them)... but I think I love having space on my crowded device even more! And seeing a big app size in the App Store sometimes makes me less likely to download.

The sleep/noise-machine app "Ambience" gives me an idea for how you might handle this dilemma: make all the other cities downloadable (not pre-built-in) and let people freely manage which ones they want to have installed or not. Ambience has a sound library like that. All you'd need is a list and a simple toggle for each city. Add or delete at will.

You could even charge an IAP for the privilege of unrestricted globe-hopping. I'd buy! I'd like that better than buying each city, because I'd want to try them all BUT I wouldn't want to store them all.

And this way, you have a reason to keep making new cities: they sweeten the pot to get people to buy that IAP.

Meanwhile the app size would not keep growing except by the user's choice. At any one time it would have only the default city, the current free "city of the moment," plus whatever ones the user chose to keep installed.

Anyway, just a thought! (I know you'd need a server for that. So... a second-best plan: make the whole pack of "other cities" be one big optional IAP download together. As long as that's possible without the data being pre-built-in to the initial download.)

Yeah, those achievements have been an ongoing problem to tell you the truth. We just haven't been able to do a consistent system, something about the way we register various feats at the moment. Still trying to improve.

Have you checked the friend list again? It sounds like a momentary server problem.

Hi Eoghann, thanks for letting us know. We generally try to balance the entire game, so it's as perfect as it can be. I'll forward your thoughts to the our design team, this is always good to hear directly from the players.

Hey there Jeppe, haven't chimed in for a bit, but I have a thought on IAP/items...

I have a couple other games that actually put individual items/characters "on sale" periodically. It keeps me coming back to games I don't necessarily even like as much as, say, SS, it gives people specific goals to shoot for, keeps people happy... if you're interested in examples, shoot me a PM.

    IDK, just a thought.

FWIW, I don't have any problems with the coins/IAP, aside from the spaceships :)p), but I mainly play SS because it's just so friggin' fun, I don't really worry about the more expensive stuff. I can appreciate some of the prices might be a bit daunting for completionist players.

Weird bug? I hit something, so my law enforcement friend started chasing me... and continued to chase me, just out of eyesight, for the WHOLE game, all 600,000+ points worth.

The weird thing was I couldn't see him the whole time, but if I jumped or rolled, he would "peek" back into the frame...

Not a huge deal for me, and kind of funny, but I figured I'd let you know...

Thanks a lot for considering it Jeppe! Maybe an alternate way to obtain characters? Like bringing tokens back for the more expensive ones? Or make them obtainable via tokens AND coin?

For example, I've been playing this game daily since it first launched, and I still have 100 tokens left to obtain for Yutani. haha
That, to me seems like the scales are a teeny tiny bit unbalanced.
(I did notice that after this update, I've been getting more Yutani tokens.....is that just a coincidence or have you addressed that already? :D)

By no means this is an upset complaint, it's more of a suggestion. I love what you do with this game, the updates, the characters, the locations (if me playing it from day one isn't proof enough I dunno what is!)

Also, weighing in on the talk about a possible Premium Subway Surfers game: I'm all for it as long as I can transfer my progress and unlocked content! Coz paying 3 - 5 bucks to grind everything all over again would be a bummer. :D

And @DBC: I get that same funny glitch. I've noticed it happens when I pause the game. After I resume it, I hear the guard scream his typical "Hurr!" but I never see him. That glitch usually goes away if I bump into something, making the guard appear. Once I leave him behind it's all back to normal.

In general, I don't either, because they're either purely cosmetic OR they're one of the special boards with the build in jump or perpetual "roll".

However, all these limited edition things do kind of break that. You aren't playing for fun if month after month you're supposed to raise more than 100,000 coins plus whatever you need to raise for whatever upgrades/built in characters you still want. It, at least for me, doesn't put a good shine on the game if the devs are saying, "Hey, want a "souvenir" from New York? well, $10 or play the game for at least 60 minutes every single day". This is an endless runner not a high end MMORPG with guilds and contests and achievements, etc..

It's one thing to have something like Yutani dangling out there where only a few very dedicated players are going to get him legitimately, but we can all feel like we're progressing all the same :), quite another to be throwing out these 1 month only characters where you feel the pressure to open your wallet if you want them because otherwise, in so far as we know, we'll never have another chance.

I have no idea how you play, or what power ups you have, but I can earn about 50-100K in one 60 minute session. The only tips I have are max out the Jet Pack as fast as you can, it is literally the BEST power-up in the game. The Jet Pack allows you to collect massive amounts of coins while eliminating all danger and at max level I get around 400 coins from a single Jet Pack if it's the first power-up, and well over 1000 coins per Jet Pack if I get them later in my run when I am going faster. Also, get the Dare Devil Board, you can activate it right before you hit a Jet Pack and get a lot more coins since your going faster. The second power-up to try to max out is the Magnet. Once again, you can use the Dare Devil Board right after you get a Magnet to get more use out of it. By using these tactics, I routinely pull in between 1000-5000 coins per run. So earning the monthly 145000 needed to get the limited character and limited board isn't that much of a time commitment, especially when I have like 35 days to do it.
