Looks phenomenal. Digging the Uncharted vibe (minus the combat, of course)

got this on ps3. i think the experience is gonna be different on touch screen device. i really hope they dont dumb down the graphics on mobile.

update: looks like they sacrifice draw distance and the resolution a bit. also the texture looks good enough but not as good as on console. iOS version only and no plan on android anytime soon.

Got it on a sale on ps4 and it is the definition of boring . No big loss if it doesn't come out on iOS .

Well then. I WON'T BE GETTING IT!

Nah, I will. ;) I totally get what Uppercut were going for and can appreciate the game for what it is. Games don't have to be about violence and combat all the time.

agreed. nimian legends is one of the example that a game can be enjoyable and fun even engaging while telling its story and i believe that is something that uppercut games wants to achieve with submerged.

Im down completely with no combat

So sure it may be a glorified walking, climbing simulator. But with the graphics, and the soundtrack, I am fine with the beautiful game like this. Give me a nice day/night cycle, rain effects, and mystery with puzzle elements and you got me hooked

Its problem isn't that it doesn't have combat or violence, it's the gameplay mechanics and the "story" , if you can even call it that . SOMA doesn't have violence or combat but it's an amazing game, for example .

Hi Kimchisoju! It sounds like Submerged is exactly what you're after then. We've tried to create a slower-paced, relaxing zen-like game, where you can enjoy just "being" in the world. So I hope you enjoy it!

Yep, we've had to bring the draw distance in a bit, and we've also done extensive rework to the city assets in order to have things render at a decent framerate. Pretty much every asset in the game had to be altered in some way.

It was not an easy task to get it all working on mobile ... BUT! The Apple Metal devices are surprisingly powerful, so the game still looks great.

So ... we were a bit optimistic on how long it would take to get Submerged onto mobile. This was largely due to Unreal 4 just not being ready for mobile, but we also bit off a lot more than a 6-person studio can chew.

But one thing UppercutAJ was prescient about - the game needs Metal, for sure, which is why we have a smaller number of supported devices than our previous games.
