First, congrats to the developers for making a cool game. But I don't understand why some developers invest thier time and energy to create a topnotch game...but then leave out some obvious fundamental features that would vastly improve the qulaity of the game. If these basic updates are never implemented then why would we buy future games from a developer who creates good games that never meet their potential. Perhaps it's a marketing strategy of some kind.
Usually it's about resources. I've been on here for over a year and I've seen a few devs make promises and not come through. They start a game but it doesn't sell well and they just don't have the money to keep working on them. However, I haven't seen that happen for quite some time. Many indie devs are working out of their own pockets to make a game. The game is fully functional and has no bugs. I don't see why a dev wouldn't release it in that state. As it sells you make money that funds the updates. Ishoot is a great example as a game that started out very basic but bug free. As the money came in the game was updated more and more and Ethan quit his job to focus on making games.
Hey devs I boght your game, with the promise of expansion please dont let me down! Btw the game is awesome! but I would preffer that each card has its OWN ANIMATION as was ANNOUNCED in the app description. And of course some type of unlockables to increase replayability.
Update 1.1 preview: 1) Smart and danger AI 2) Stat page with some info about score and win\loss. 3) "Return to menu" button ingame 4) OS 3.0 fix 5) Online score table (maybe) What else? Maybe "hot seat" for 2 players on 1 iphone? PS: We plan to start the "sale", 0.99$ for limited time. Tell your friends about it =) And if we go to top, we definitely do multiplayer version.
Pleeeasssee do an online score table. This is almost a given with new games nowadays, games that don't offer a long term goal will be downloaded far less.
Online score table isnt a big deal for me, I'd rather see pass n play multiplayer. It lets me show off the game and teach others how to play. With this sale I'll convince my friends to get it so Local wifi play would be good (I realize that won't come in 20 days) For the menu button, how about a translucent button in the top left corner of the screen. When you tap it a pop up will appear asking if you would like to exit or resume. You could also have the iphone's status bar appear so users can see the time and their battery life without having to exit the game. Just Ideas of course Cheers
To be honest, that is why I haven't bought the game yet. Even at $0.99, I may not because of the lack of an global in-game leaderboard. And you know what they say with CRM, when 1 person leaves feedback, there's typically a hundred or so on the sidelines thinking the same thing.
Thanks! I think we implement some ideas in 1.1 Multiplayer is in our "todo" list, but its not in 1.1 todo.
Well once again im dissapointed! Why did I buy your game in the first place if you are just going to lower the price to 99 cents! Why do you devs ALWAYS DO THE SAME THING my god -.- Anywhays are you guys planning on adding more animations like I suggested? Also like I said unlockables such as different stronghold themes and above all new backrounds and locations! On the edge of a stormy sea would look amazing, with thunder and all to boot! P.S I really suggest you invest some time into the animations for each card, I feel like Ive been tricked!
Why did you keep buying games if you are going to be dissappointed that it has a sale? Pay what the game is worth. Don't blame the developers for your problem. "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Albert Einstein
Graphics are the most difficult part for improvement. But we always think about creating of new battlefields.
What I meant is, if a sale is planned do it at the beggining. When a game comes out with a price range of more than one dollar I understand that the developer is not planning on doing a sale for some time, thats all I meant. And you are right I am a bit insane, beacuse Im the one that always does the same thing. TO THE DEV: And yeah dev, I would love to see some new battlefields, and how about some omega cards that you unlock after many plays? That would be very fun too. Btw a two player mode "Hot seat" would be great! Btw besides multiplayer, what other additions have you guys come up with? Are you planning on abandoning this project if sales are lackluster?
