Just a quick tip: if anyone is interested in the app but not sure if the game appeals to them , checkout littlegolem.net . They have a webbased version where you can play against others, the rules of the game can also be found on my webpage... Be warned though, their UI is pretty much 80s style ;)

There are also other sites that have training AIs but they are pretty bad as far as I remember...

Downloading now the game. Very curious about that since i like soccer and boardgames too, even if i never played the original table game. Congrats on your release and a +1 for keeping the price of your app at its price for better quality reasons. ;)

This definitely has my attention being that I'm a huge footy fan, but unfortunately I've already spent far too much on apps this week to purchase another game at this price point.

For now it'll go on my wish list :)

Hey Athenstean, there is a feature I would like in an update. It's not gameplay related, but cosmetic. I'd like to be able to use imported images to "cut out" our own meeple shapes and then skin them the way we want. Also, if the game engine would allow, it would be awesome if we could have five different shapes and skins on a team.

Also, in that veign, a dynamic camera during the match an for replays would be awesome as well.

Just played a match with my two boys (they beat me 5-1) and honestly it's a proper beauty. Almost perfect. I'd like to be able to name the Guest Team and all the players. Initially didn't like how it was a goal kick after every goal rather than a centre but have pretty much got used to it now. Better dice animation (and sound) would be wicked. Just figured out how to see it in 3D by accident. If over time small things can be added like stands, crowds, terraces even then this could stay on my device forever. The beautiful game.

Wow, you guys are awesome, can't really catch up with everything that's happening here. So if I miss a question, please forgive me:

In general for Feature Requests: If you can, please use the feedback button in the app or the mail address on my webpage. It makes it easier to track everything and I usually get in contact with people when I tackle a particular subject to get more opinions and such stuff. I've got an internal ticketing system to manage what topics are requested the most and so on...

@slamraman: I've created tickets for all of those, thanks. Will see how they fit with the other stuff that's planned. But since I wrote 100% of the code there is hardly anything that can't be changed really :) In fact, the internal database is already designed way more powerful than what I use right now.
@MrMojoRisin: Jupp, I thought about that too... it seems so obvious that each individual piece should get it's own hair color and so on, I have no idea why I didn't code it that way in the first place : ) For the shapes, do you mean like 2D flat shapes? There was an idea to have an additional "view" where everything is like chess pieces (much like in the play-by-mail screenshots).

If anyone wants to use the play by mail multiplayer send me a pm and we can exchange emails.

Also just wanted to point out that for ages I've been looking to scratch my blood bowl itch and even though I have Bb on 360 the matches are pretty long and this really has a blood bowl light feeling to it, with the moving and dice rolls.
I'll bet for another app with some modifications this would make a really cool full on blood bowl game, now THQ is gone it might be worth exploring.

Weird... there shouldn't be anything happening there except for loading some images. Maybe a memory issue? Could you please drop me an email to the address on my website so I can talk you through the process of getting more details?

    3.99 is too steep.

    Good luck with it though.

You really need a replacement adjective for "awesome". As do most people, so nothing personal. #

@bluejunco: just out of curiosity, do you mean the price in general for that type of game or too steep for buying it without knowing the original boardgame (=not knowing if the game is fun)? Or what else stops you from an impulse buy? The quality of the graphics? I'm interested in learning how I might improve the game such that it appeals to more people... based on all - in hindsight - the bad purchases I have done in the AppStore, I can understand that people are hesitating. Would a demo version with for example only one AI and no online support have helped you to make a buying decision?

Drop me a PM, would be interesting to hear your perspective...

:) ... although I have to say I really like the enthusiasm on this forum :D kind of makes it worth spending all this time over the years on a single, crazy project...

I think your views on pricing of things in the real world isn't realistic, good luck with that.
I'll bet the board game version of this would cost a lot more than this, in the same way that ascension, warhammer or any other board/card game on iOS cost a little more this is worth it.

It's wierd how the App Store is making everyone think that £2 is expensive, I take It these people don't play console games or they'd have some kind of heart attack at the price of those.

Well anyway it's worth a couple of pound, this is one guys three years of work?!?! Are we saying that's only worth 69p.

Agree 100% with the above. Sometimes I even think that two pound odd seems expensive but then end up spending 10x 69p on loads of old pony so end up giving money to people who probably don't deserve it rather than still a very small amount in the grand scheme of things for something that has actually been crafted.

Well, it's a shame there isn't a "try for 30 minutes before you buy" in the AppStore. I can totally understand that 3 bucks for yet another game where one doesn't know what to expect is too much. There is just too much garbage out there... maybe I should do a limited free version. On the other hand, Streetsoccer really lives from playing with others and spending time to improve your tactics so I'm not sure being able to play against the dumbest AI only would make any sense. If anyone has any better idea, I'm open for suggestions. I just thought about putting "puzzles" on my site where you have a static situation and have to find the best move. Maybe that will give people a feel for the game...

I always felt Carcassonne did it right: Do a high quality game with good replay value, charge 4 Euro for introduction and later on raise it. Compared to the original boardgame, that's ridiculously cheap and people that buy the app for that price are likely to be happy with it for a long time (because they made a conscious buying decision), while at the same time avoiding people that just play it for a day and never touch it again...

So since someone else asked: No, it is highly unlikely the price will ever go lower than the current price. If I would do that, the author of the boardgame would probably get pretty mad with me because he is still selling the board game version... : )
