that dosen't make any sense, why would you make 2 slots? one is enough, I don't buy it, there is one or two hidden character for me, and I'm sure it's possible to find them into the app somewhere.

"that was a placeholder for him" it's been two years and we still never seen this character so why would they reserve a spot for him? because hey didn't expect us finding it and when they did this "guess who will join the roster game" they had in mind evil ryu but because we find out he was in the language game they put instead fei long and yun. otherwise you can do a placeholder for every single player in the game, why evil ryu and not ibuky or hakan or etc?

let see who's right... let's see who's the first to reach a 100 online game for example or to finish the pandora box.

Does anyone know of you lose Victory Points if you lose a match? I am currently level 4 and haven't lost a single match yet so idk.

There's this thing that people and companies do called planning ahead. They planned to put in Evil Ryu but didn't get around to it.

They already were finishing of Yun when they had the 'guess the next character' and it's not like they changed it because everyone thought it was Evil Ryu.

The exclusion of Ken and Jin is surprising, and a reason I might hold off on this, compounded with the numerous other issues+file size.

There is a lot of stuff that rubs me the wrong way and in bad places in SFXT. While I might understand the reasoning beyond not including a story mode, I still miss a more cohesive, extended single player experience. Much like Volt, single player mostly feels like warmup and practice before going online.

And speaking of online, the coin system is absolutely bizarre, no matter how much of a throwback to the days of arcade halls and lost latch key children it represents. To actually have to pay for online games beyond a particular number of free matches per day is either a surrealistic trip back down memory lane, to a time most of us would probably rather forget, no matter how much we might sentimentalize and reminiscence, or a vision of a very frightening IAP-driven future that might make SkyNet seem like the lesser of two evils.

The low number of characters in the rooster limits replayability and variation, though of Volt is any indication, this might not be a permanent limitation.

And then there's the purchaseable in-match boosters, in the form of Pandora's boxes... not content with a creatively restrictive and punitive limitation on online play, with the potential for IAP mongering, Capcom actually breaks my favourite tenet of fair freemium and IAP mechanics: never sell items that give an edge in competitive play for real-world money. At least those items can also be acquired through SP, which you gain by playing single or multiplayer.

And in spite of this, I'm loving it. There is a fluidity, a smoothness, to the combat that is is unlike and beyond any of my other favourite fighters for iOS (Volt, SC, Fight Night and MMA, though perhaps SC is an exception), and that seems to make every fight faster, more exciting, and more reliant on reflexes, precision and skill. And I finally get to play Hwoarang, a fighter of my style and preference. And he looks so good in 3D, much like every other character and background. And the SP system provides a layer or progression and persistence that many beat em ups (in particular for iOS) lacks. And there are more basic attacks ("Unique Moves") than in Volt, providing a richer move set and more variation per character.

Figures, that the best fighting game would also be the worst ;)

    This.

Not sure why, but I really love this game, which is odd, as Ayjona pointed out, as the drawbacks are staggering. Yet I find myself playing just because I'm having fun.

Yeah, seriously. This game has its abundant flaws, yet it's so damn playable lol. I don't know why! Is it the combos that you can pull off? Is it just being able to go back and forth between Street Fighter and Tekken rosters? No clue. This game doesn't even have ANY of my favourite characters (so far), yet I like it more than Volt.

    Wow!

Loving this game. I have actually played this for an hour straight on the iCade. that is the only way to play this game! WOW! I might actually go on iTunes and rate this....which I have only done with 2 other games.

Is there any word from Capcom on the addition of characters? Or is it just pure speculation at this point?

Additional characters will come, I'm pretty sure of that. They'll add them in as updates like in Volt. I really wish they added more at the start, it would have sold this game better. I'll probably get it later...

Sorry, but may I know how to unlock trial indeed?

I got my Kazuya and Paul's trial after finishing arcade mode, but didn't see Hwoarang and Ryu after the same

iTunes won't allow you. I played it on my new iPad but then when I tried to install it on my 3GS, iTunes said my device was incompatible.

You won`t get the trials if you played arcade mode with 1 round matches or if you were disconnected from the internet (it happened to me)

Anyone else think it's super bizarre that the intro only features characters that aren't in the game? I didn't expect it to make sense, but it seems like the intro is from another version of the game.

I think this plays really well, the matches can get intense and that's fun. But the graphics lag a lot on my new iPad and it feels choppy.

Also, I'm not that hardcore so I don't think I'm going to do much with it after beating the arcade mode. I tried Ryu's trials and the first couple were easy but by the seventh it was too tough for me and I gave up. Online play was really choppy on my internet connection so I don't think I'll be doing that much, I'm also not really good enough at fighting games to compete in ranked matches anyway.

Well that's good. Still can't believe Capcom would do a credits thing like that that would actually limit how much you can play a game you PAID FOR. Seems like they're bound and determined to make EVERYONE hate SFxT no matter WHAT system it's on. xD

I'm downloading it now from the evil I-place to check it out, but from what I've read so far, sounds like that's not a bad move. Hopefully they get it together and fix the flaws that are apparently really abundant with this one.
