No it does not require a constant connection to play.. The game is awsome just picture street fighter 4 volt with new characters.
I hope capcom will improve the game with more characters, the roster is tiny! I hope for a christmas update!
not really, but the connection is somehow always laggy, probably there are not so many players from germany. also interesting is that almost all matches were with ryu as main char so he is like akuma in previous game.

(Good to get some revenge exp too!) Edit: Just found out Ryu's st hp crumples on counterhit. How odd... Also, if you land a CH with your partner at below 25%, you do normal damage (no +10-33% boost)
First of, I'm rank 300 something lol..second why I see no ta people yet for weeks now...Its no competition all these lvl 1 noobs..I jus lose for exp but rarely see anyone good...graphics seems downgraded, and heihachi is freakin godly lol..I played a spammy ryu and he was gonna chip super finish me off, did not know that move can reverse a fireball let alone a super, suffice it to say he rq lol...that match has to be a classic! Sucks u can't share replays, I still should have saved it, it was a close boring match haha...when is cammy joining the fun?!? Am I right app!?
I wish there was Cammy. Haha. Ranking is dumb in this game. If you get a lot of consecutive wins, you get in the 99xx range. Even if you beat 100 scrubs in a row. Heihachi is awesome in this game. I think his great weakness is against projectile characters. He is too slow to avoid.
I think a lot of people went back to Volt after the shanigans Capcom's pulled with this one. I know the lag was too much for me to handle and the credit system turned me off because it just makes it harder to improve when you're limited as to how much you can play. That and Friendly mode taking an eternity to unlock. Bleh.
Ryu is such a better turtler in this version. Guile has nothing going for him except a better projectile
Guile's air throw is useful and makes him better in air. His flash kick is also harder to counter in air vs ryu uppercut. He is not that bad.
Air tatsu better in air to air. Better priority and you can link uppercut or super after if you hit them at the right time. I've played enough guile to see how bad he is
