The fact that they made a Lite version of the game means that they are confident with the success of this game, so I'm sure that we will get more updates.
About the tornament, yeah, it sucks.

The tourney winner won't get much of an advantage. Level 5 is all you need and you can get there through play but man, it is such an advantage to have level 5 immense power

As a Ryu user, he actually has a pretty high learning curve as he won't do the massive damage combo vs. a Kaz user. However, he is probably the most balanced character in the game and still top 3. I find noobs that use Ryu the easiest to beat though :D Just jump over fireball and punish...

Yeah, level 5 is sick, but even then, you still have to know how to use it correctly. I actually feel bad at times hitting people with a 3-move, 70+ percent damage combo.

As for the tourney winner, it really just depends on the Ex pandora boxes and the new ones that came with the update. Given that most players will never get a single Ex pandora box (since they cost 100G), I could see that being an advantage. I still have no idea how to unlock the new boxes though.

The king of RQing on SFxT, Gregor F., is in the top 10.

He uses Guile. He doesn't just RQ though, he unplugs his modem to try to avoid losing a coin when he gets beat. He's done it to me four or five times at least.

Hi guys, just wanna know if the Gauntlet mode in the official version of the game is exactly the same as the free version?

I am just at level 11 :( (Gauntlet unlocks at level 14)

I think it's on a different stage or the war stage with alot of stuffs remove. :p

Also a few new background musics.

Yes, it's exactly the same. It's just a stunt by Capcom to showcase their 3D rendered character models by swerving the camera around.

It's a fun mode, but I find Volt's survival mode more interesting than Gauntlet mode though.

Aaaand am I the only one that's irritated watching that guy's vpad motion and button inputs?

Edit: I just read some reviews for the free ver. on itunes. People seem pissed at pretty much everything. WTH do they expect from something that's offered for free... Someone mentions that a "big problem is also no floating joystick." Dashing would become so much harder. Kaz's electric would also be such a pain.

I met lots of Guile players who RQ, so I still don't know the player you're talking about. I bet he just runs away while using Sonic Boom, right? Just like Dhalsim players who only jump backwards while attacking or Ryu players who keep spamming fireballs the whole match.

I didn't find him THAT OP. He is like Paul: great damage, but they are very slow. And just like Paul, it takes a lot of practice.

Good point...but i think the new update also made Ryu relatively more powerful  He seems like he is a little OP now (winning way more easily). low kick fireball is so hard to punish and both ryu and heihachi cross counters are pretty OP (sends the opponent clear across the screen enabling safe tag ins). I also think Hwo is pretty underpowered and it hasn't changed with the update :(

A few of their moves send you across the screen, which is so annoying. I think Ryu and Heihachi are among the strongest characters in the game, but still below Hugo and close to even with Kaz. Hugo is probably now the strongest in the game, but the problem with him is that he's hard to use as a point character because he's much easier to zone in that position. If he's an anchor, he's usually being set up nicely to come in and due big damage or at least to pressure after a knockdown.

I agree that Hugo is the most OP then Kaz/Ryu. Heihachi/King/Chun are in the same class (chun is so good when played right). Sim and Hwo have to be the weakest in the game though :(

Yes, I used Ryu after the update and he definetely seems more powerful, but I still don't have any problems with him. Most players only jump and grab, or hadouken and shoryuken, so I only need to counter these moves. About their cross counters, I agree, they are too OP.
I've been using Hwo since the release of the game and I never found him to be so underpowered. The main problem of Hwo is LAAAAAAG. Lag makes Hwo really unplayable. You can link almost any attack with his b+sp and then fw+sp (special step) and k, and his super art can counter any air attacks.

Guile is pretty bad. His priority and recovery are atrocious and he can't crossover people!

got a bit of free time so got this game. well it feels quite different from volt. but the main problem is basically all games i play are too laggy. maybe because it is in germany. and the same design problem like in volt. if a match is f laggy than give the possibility to quit it without using disconnection or just some ping setting or something like that. matchmaking can kiss my ass too, playing vs someone with a lot of upgrades sucks too. and with no bison vs all there ryus it is not that fun. and of course like in volt f someone who made that sending data when you go to the main menu, what a stupid design. why making combo mode locked until you play vs stupid ai is also interesting question. and again every game is f so laggy.
