Do you want to feel like cheating? Use Kaz and keep using forward+p forward+sp forward+p while walking backwards.
This game is awful, consisntly lags online even with that crappy update, still not optimize for my iPhone 5, lack of characters.
Agreed, and lag is making this worse. My first fight after updating didn't have any lag, but now it returned. ****!!!
Exactly, I uninstalled the game after the first match that was laggish!!! I risked to throw away my Iphone and hysteric crysis!! Rate the game with 1 star, Capcom deserve it! Now I'll reinstall the game with the next update only if there'll be a better netcode and some new fighters!
All my fds dropped Kaz / Hugo... They don't want to be teased... Capcom is really harming the Kaz / Hugo players... giving them a sharmful image... Pity
Coming from Volt, where Sagat reigns supreme with zero bad matchups and Gief crushes most characters not named Dhalsim, I'm not sure I understand the hate for Kaz and Hugo. In my opinion, Kaz has bad matchups against Guile, Nina and Chun Li. If played right, Ryu, King and Sim can also be very tough. I'm not sure about Paul, but he does huge damage and not many people use him well as a main. Any of the characters that can mix up the timing of their fireballs can make it so hard for Kaz, who is meant to be played up close. To the Kaz haters, which characters do you use? As for Hugo, he's not that hard to figure out. Stay out of his wake up pressure or cross counter his splashes. Abuse his total lack of mobility. Don't ever drop your chances to punish when he whiffs one of his slow attacks or this three moves that leave him lying on the ground (the ass check, the body splash while standing (df p I think), or his drop kick). And don't ever randomly jump. Don't get me wrong. They are both very good characters but still very beatable.
Kaz/Hugo are great strong fighters but in this massive lag environment they become OP. King's ABC also comes to mind. In lag it's total BS. Good zoning can be tough on Hugo. Guile does well against Hugo.
Vita's costs $39.99, you paid $2.99 for the iOS version. Capcom could've released the game with only 4 characters... Adding more characters won't revive the game as long as the coin system exists and friendly mode consists of only 1 round.
Same as the 3ds has a version of street fighter AE with all the characters. We complain cause we play on IOS touchscreen devices and not some handheld console. The delay on the IOS sfxt update might as well be cause of the ps vita release. They might one to sell the most out of it before updating IOS SFxT. Or worse they could leave SFxT iOS as it is for us to cry and goto buy the vita version.
Yes it's true Vita's version costs 40 bucks and iOS 3 bucks only, we don't discuss about it and the game could be worth for 3 bucks! The problem is that game is unplayable on-line and if you can't play on-line longevity of the game is bad and so also income for capcom are bad cause the game don't sell! Sf4 was expensive at the beginning(8 bucks) without multi and 8 characters only but sells very well! If capcom improve ios version, psvita version don't sells cause there are many people who owns an iPhone, so this is the matter!
Very good games man. That first one especially was a blast. Is your GC ID the same as your username here?
With most Kaz players I jump a lot, but sometimes they use the stupid fw+p fw+sp fw+p. I can only counter this with Cross Cancel once they start doing that silly "fightstyle". With Hugo I just run away But really, that stupid Kaz combo + lag is killing the fun for me. I hate Hugo because it deals a lot of damage with cheap attacks, and Kaz because he has A LOT of attacks, and therefore Kaz players can use some awesome combos and deal a lot of damage, but while Hwo has a lot of attacks too, they are WAY weaker. Those are my main problems with those characters.
I find that Kaz's anti-airs are really hard to pull off in lag and I almost never try that particular anti-air in lag. My timing gets thrown off slightly and I end up eating a jump-in attack -> combo. Plus, it sounds like you need to adjust your jump-ins a bit. I'm pretty sure that Kaz's backhand punch and uppercut does not connect against empty jumps so use those (followed by throws or mixups). And jumping in from closer will make it so much harder for Kaz's anti-airs since his backhand punch and his uppercuts are not great if your jump-in lands close. As for Hugo, what do you consider cheap? I think I have a good feel for most Hugos so maybe I can help, not that I really want everyone to know how to take down Hugos.
I think I should try recording that Kaz combo in training, but I'm sure I tried almost everything to stop players doing that, from jumping to low attacks, without any luck. Only Cross Cancel and Cross Art help here. About Hugo, his overall damage. With Hwo's anti-air I'm always hitted with his aerial attack and I can't jump/bw+sp because of his damn special move. Sometimes I try using short jumps (jump+sp), but... yes, lag makes this almost impossible. Anyway, thanks for the help! "EDIT": while I was writing this I found that with Hwo's special step I can avoid his fw+p and then use Sky Rocket. It's a bit tricky though, but it's something. This recorder thing is really useful
GG VaroFN! Your Hwo is hard to predict and didn't know how to deal with pandora... I thought that the damage dealt in the period will not be healed. Short legs Paul... Sigh.
