As soon as you hit the punch, keep holding down and start doing the half circle for the next kick. It should feel like 1 fluid motion. Just practice that part, Down+punch --> Right + Sp. If that makes sense

Agreed. I don't have him down yet (I feel like his trials aren't as useful as those for other characters) so I have been going back and forth between Sim and Hugo. I feel like they're both respectable secondaries for Kaz. I want to try Nina or Chun as a secondary but haven't had enough time.

Set opponent skill: any A wild Lv 57 PsxSquall appears. ....fawk. 3 tokens later I walk away with 3 losses and the realization that I can store a Lv 2 charge with Kazuya.
Wind God fist is his mist step, then neutral P. You can also do it by df x2, + p. It's called 'Dragon Uppercut' in the game

I can't pull it off with the shortcut, somehow only DP comes out. I'm assuming wing god fist is the short uppercut? yeah it was nuts. I'd see an opening in his string......nope, he covered it with EX moves. I felt what the training dummy must feel.
There are two main was to combo in street fighter world. Linking and cancelling. In sfxt an example of a link would be doing kazuya's b + sp, the following with uppercut (notation-wise: devastator into slaughter hook, rising uppercut. In volt an example would be ryu doing cr jab, cr mk). A link is able to combo one move into another by letting the first move end and then starting the second move right after. A cancel cancels (well duh) the animation of one move into another. In sfxt, e.g. Kazuya's cr hp xx rising uppercut. In volt, ryu's cr mk xx fireball
