You know, you make perfect sense DoctaMario... I didnt think about it at first, because of my other issues with the game (Like why am I losing points after winning battles now?) And I feel like this game shouldve been free. Not because the game itself is bad, because it really is a good game, but because simply, why is a freemium model being applied to a) a paid game, and b) a fighting game? Surely if the problems the community has with this game were fixed, we would gladly pay 4.99 for this game. I paid $6.99 for SFIV pre-volt, and was impressed, and still enjoy Volt after grabbing it on the 1.99 day, but I wouldve paid for the DLC costumes. I also see your points about Capcom's other ports, however I disagree about EXCELLENT track record. OK at best, RE Degeneration and Mercenaries werent that great, and they completely angered me with Megaman X, I mean how do you mess that up? I mean its Megaman X, you coulda licensed SNES9X, and emulated MMX1, and that woulda made people extatic, and woulda cost less to produce... You just cant make a megaman game bad, Even Megaman X7 was ok, but this ios port angered me... What was wrong with the Maverick Hunter X re-imagining? Capcom just got greedy with SFXT, and we just keep buying them because its capcom. I have already commited to not buying anymore Capcom on Console until at least SFV (if ever) and I am fearful of what they may potentially do to Darkstalkers coming soon. I have been impressed with what Namco has been doing with their fighters lately, They saw a potential complaint with how SCV was handled, and TTT2 was done with SCV's strength in netcode, but done more like T6 with DLC being released systematically and free. You pay 60 for a full game, you get it in strides
Online Quality Volt > KOF > SFxT Kof also has alot lag online but is bearable. Volt has the best of the 3.
btw, tomorrow will be the 10th day of this game be released, looking forward on the star at log in bonus, surprise maybe?
I can't speak for the other RE games but 4 was pretty good. Far as MMX is concerned, I'm jail broken so I would've emulated it if only because I have an 8GB iPhone so apps that take up a ton of space aren't really an option. Kof has weird netcode but I find it's the best most of the time, and i never really notice input lag like i do with SF4. Volt is #2 IMO, but since it was the first, I generally give it a pass.
I won my first match on-line with slow motion, every match I play on-line is slow, but people know well how win with the lag, so it's difficult to play in this conditions!
SFIV has serious input lag while using icade/icontrolpad online... kof doesnt as much, but noticable, but without blutrol, sfiv has still more noticeable input lag, sometimes I have to buffer my combos before getting them out, which leads to sometimes random looking-ish moves
You should also take into account the number of people playing on the server. Volt has some 10000 on the us server at any one time (about 130 on the jap server). Kof has no players in the aust/Asia regen. Sfxt probably has numbers comparable to kof (taking into account the newer game, the use of credits and no friendlies etc). I expect good things to come out of future updates for sfxt
KoF also has regional servers which is good for netcode but not so much for comp I suppose. I hope Capcom gets its act together with SFxT
Open info.plist, delete capability = gyroscope and game will work on the 3gs of course, i have licensed version of game.
And game runs well like iPhone 4-4s! I don't believe capcom excluded 3GS only for commercial purpose! 3GS support is great income for Capcom!
