Why do people rage quit in this game? Its dumb, I still get points, you still lose a credit, you might as well take the loss like a man... smh...
Exactly. I don't think people have realized that yet. Awesome quit system though. They should slide it over to volt
Same here, at least 3 times after I KO opponent (before the character zoom in) btw, this game seems have incompatibly issue with iOS6. While you enabled the assistivetouch, the game will randomly force close...
I havent had this problem, i am using backgrounder (cydia tweak), to prevent any type of closing, pop up or call from disconecting me. I did get a frezee once.
Cuz half the fights are slide shows making it impossible to properly react to moves. It's part of why Kazuya is so OP, because his quick combos are so hard to react to online when there's that much lag present. Not to mention its excruciating to sit through a match that moves that slow. I've quit twice but only because the lag was so painfully bad I couldn't deal. I deleted this. It kinda reminds me why I dont play Tekken. No point in putting any more time into this when KoF is sitting right next to it on my home screen. Enjoy it fellas! I hope Capcom gets their shit together and realizes that the whole point of a fighting game is to play against other people so having good netcode is a necessity.
I feel like you. What's funny is that if this game was on console, everybody would have ask for their money back, but because we all "only" paid less than 3$ (2.50€ for me), then we just delete the game and hope it gets better later. But how much is capcom gonna make out of all the people who are gonna erase it and never play it again because on the online crap? Also if during online matches the "freeze followed by the wheel" means that the other player ragequitted and you have to finish the game against the computer is true, then I certainly gave a "nice fight" to a good bunch of rage quitters. Isn't it ironic? finally, what are this bloody "zenny"? In the archievements page, for two of them you need 100000 zenny and 999999 zenny to get the archievement. I haven't seen them anywhere. It's like the game is missing lot's of things, they definitely released an unfinished game.
Just reached LV14, Gauntlet mode unlocked... LV7 unlock Free battle mode, LV14 unlock Gauntlet mode, so what's next at LV21...
Oh I see then the gauntlet mode is a survival thing. I tryed to whatch a replay and nowhere you can see the names of the player, that is also a fustrating thing. Ok now I stop being complaining lol.
I agree with you on this. Sometimes it's so slow it hurts. But people are quitting at the end of the match not in the middle. As in at the k.o. . Lag free or not there will still be true rage quitters. If enough people leave negative reviews, the update could come faster. I've seen it happen with other apps like tiger woods. Once the new version comes out it resets the reviews for that version, so bad press could help force their hand.
I can't believe how good it looks. Granted, I haven't bought a mobile fighting game before. Anyways, good job Capcom.
This particular reason I also can concur, but Im talking about completely lagless fights, the one in 30 I get... Also My gripes with the game are a little different than just the netcode... sometimes when im on the toilet at work, I wanna get in some fights, but I can't do trial mode with a character I beat the game with because I have to be online to unlock trials for characters, so I still only have Kazuya's and Ryu's, although I beat the game with everyone... I also agree with another post above, where the hell is this zenny? My other gripe is the online ranking system, Yes SFIV's was flawed, but it worked, I have said it time and time again, SFXT console version, although not as good as this one for some reason, the online system worked, and they stole hella code from GGPO which is obvious in the matches that lag... Or, improve on SFIV Volt to support 4 characters at once, and use that, SFIV worked, and it worked well early on, not perfect, but it was ok. Capcom is relying to heavily on freemium ideals for a paid game that if they just done things right the first time, they would get the buys. This is one of the few iOS Apps I actually paid for (being Street Fighter AND Tekken and all) and I feel like I should just got on ########## and got it, then I wouldnt feel so cheated. Version 1.1 needs to get here ASAP.
I wouldnt be half as angry about any of this crap, if they just had a friendly battle system through gamecenter, hell they rely on gamecenter for the entire game except the mode that counts...
Lost My very first ever match to the AI today. I destroyed the guy first round (he was using guile-ryu) and he rage quits, then the ai beats me 2x time over next 2 rounds. Both round were 1 hit away from my win. The AI just took my 40 streak away, god im so salty right now. Guile's AI in difficult so hard to punish or get hits in.
I had the exact same thing today, I had the feeling the AI got better over night but I don't think it's possible.
If laggy fights are what you get most of the time, then that's the standard on which it should be judged. I really wanted to like this game because it looks like fun, but playing it against anyone else is miserable unless both connections are perfect. I DID get it from In$t@!!0U$ and I feel gypped. xD I guess I wish they'd have thought it through better. Like why not make sure the netcode was flawless when the main feature of the game is online-based? Why lock characters' trials until AFTER you beat the game with them, when that's a large part of learning what the character is capable of (especially the Tekken characters)? Why not have a Friendly match mode when the majority of the reason people played Volt was because of the community we built through Friendly (usually haha!) matches? Why institute a credit system that limits people's ability to play and get better? Why give people opportunities at every turn to IAP credits, Gems, Pandora stuff, etc when they've already paid $3 for the game? Why make it so that people have to be constantly tethered to the internet to even be able to enjoy certain aspects of the game when you know a significant amount of the population is probably playing on an iPod Touch that may not be connected a significant amount of the time? Even the opening popup about "SFxTK would like access to Twitter accounts." F*ck you, I don't want you spamming my followers every time I open the friggin' game. I'm disappointed more than anything. Capcom's track record with mobile releases has been pretty fantastic so far. Resident Evil 4 was great, SF4 Vanilla and MvC2 (even with it's control issues) were excellent ports even without netcode, and we all know that they did a bang-up job instituting netcode and supporting SF4 Volt. So for this to be the "follow up" to that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Not only is the game less than playable for a significant part of the community (which is bad if we're trying to build a community here) but it just seems like a cash grab. Hopefully Capcom will take the negative reviews into account and fix these issues, because I'd still like to play this game.
