That's how I feel about it too, I gain more practice by fighting against real life opponents rather than through AI. The coin system sucks! And your idea of having it implemented as a penalty for RQs would have been better. I dunno... Rage quit 3x in 24hrs and your put on 3 coin system for the next 48hrs or something..??
Aaaaaagreed! The online for this is hot garbage. I could give Capcom a bit of a pass for releasing an incomplete game if the online were at least decent. I got pummeled by a Kazuya player because trying to react to his moves was like punching underwater. The one match I did have that was acceptable speed-wise there was still some input lag. Either a lot of people out there have Taco Bell-ass connections or this game has worse net code than Volt. I'm hoping we get an update to fix it soon, cuz if not, I'm not gonna put the time into learning a game with borderline unplayable netcode.
Why doesn't Capcom only allow players with a "solid" Wi-Fi connection to play Online??? It shouldn't be difficult to implement. Is everyone playing with a 56k modem or what?
Why do you need to be vulgar like that? If you're obsessed with your faecal matters then you should see a psychologist.
Yup, the online lag on this game is a joke... and its especially painful when you lose all three fights due to it and arent' able to compete again until its replenished hours later! C'mon Capcom, I'm really trying to love this game, but you're not making it easy.
Multi is unplayable, too lag!!! Maybe capcom should concentrate on single player, or improve the multiplayer! I've red that the game has a bug with ios6. Can you confirm it?
Not sure about any bugs as I'm playing on my jailbroken iPad 3 running ios 5, but I guess I will find out when my iPhone 5 arrives sometime next week.
Game Impressions I agree that the online lags ruin the fun. I have no problem if I lose when the game runs smoothly. But it's annoying if I lose narrowly because the game lags. Even if I win, it doesn't feel as good as winning a smooth match.
Tips for a King user? Against a fireball spamming Ryu... Hate them, when you jump they easily do shruyokan and youre screwed
Haha. Yeah. I recognized your name but that lag was crazy. I don't mind losing but man, I only have a couple coins left! I hope there is friendly through Gamecenter soon. Would like to play more TA folks.
There are a few things you can do here: 1.) you can walk forward and block essentially walking them into the corner where they no longer can rely on zoning, most ryus who rely on zoning are just Akumas who transistioned from volt, Ryus fireball is used traditionally to keep your opponent in footsies range not usually for full screen zoning. Why is that important to know, we'll because most Ryus who rely on full screen fireballing are horrible once you get in and will often shoryuken out of panic or try to jump out of the corner all of which puts king in a great position. 2.) Neutral jump a lot until Ryu has backed him self up enough for you to safely jump in without being in range of his shoryuken, like above ryus who rely on this type of zoning will usually still try to anti air you with a shoryuken which will then whiff or get blocked and you get a free punish. 3.) Kings up sp goes through fireballs but up sp will a lot of time result in a jump so I don't really recommend this. 4.) The riskiest/silliest of them would be intentionally knocking yourself down by landing on a fireball or getting anti aired and on wake up just roll forward closing the gap between yourself and Ryu, only do this if you have life to burn, also not recommended but I've done it and it works when lag is hurting your chances of getting in otherwise. Again I do not recommend this but it has worked for me when lag gets bad and it's actually quite funny how effective it can be.
Thanks for the tips you posted, iVoloster. I really hope there's more posts like that. Boo to all the haters of this SFxT mobile, it's damn cool we can play on our iphones!
