This game is definitely footsie-heavy compared to volt.

Even tagging your character in is a risk by itself. You technically only have one life bar. At least this isn't time-over edition. ppl qq'ing about this game leading to timeovers just don't know how to play sfxt on the iphone. Period. It's a very different game from its console counterpart.

net code is not that great, takes a while to stabilize but once it does... fast games galore.

hwoarang's so easy to use here lol.

Wow everyone I play online atm is terrible. I've only had a couple decent matches. Currently at 42 wins with 1 loss and 26 win streak. I want to fight someone of the top ranked people. :(

Maybe you should learn the game mechanics a little bit more before you comment. You do realize this has to be one of the most retarded options you could ever do in the game.

If your backup character's bar runs out and gets chipped, you'll get hard tagged back in. If you get combo'd before, you can get hit with max-damage combos that can take you out before you know it.

I hit a 10k cap on VP, still working my way to level 11 though it's crawling pretty slow now.

Not yet (I hope). But then again, it could be by design so you're forced to play ranked, lose coins when you lose and recharge it with gold, which most of it will come from using real money.

Not sure what the deal is, wifi on 4s, ranked match is an unplayable laggy piece of dung.

yeah. it's pretty laggy. That's why wins here don't really mean much. =))

I had one match that was super laggy for the first two rounds, then it froze for a while and became completely unlaggy and smooth. I really sort of suspected that maybe the other player dropped out and the AI took over.

Anyone else feel the leveling of Pandora's makes multiplayer matches a bit unfair? I was playing against a player today who was obviously much better at the game than me but also a low level, so when I opened a maxed-out Pandora's box on him I felt a bit bad about how easily I wrecked him. And you can pay for that effect, so it's even worse.

Anyway, I deleted this. I'm just not hardcore enough to keep single player interesting and multiplayer is too laggy on my connection to be much fun.

Maybe if you don't like my post you should run away from it. Or press your Home button. ;)

What I'm saying is, with 10-15 seconds left on the timer, you could tag out to your secondary character and if they've got enough energy there's really nothing your opponent can do if you have a life lead unless they're devestating you already, in which case, it doesnt really matter.

SFxT already has a rep for being a turtley game on console, which I didn't know until today when I hit up the board on SRK. The post you quoted was just an observation based on a few matches I played. But apparently, SRK agrees with me. You're welcome. ;)

    :eek::eek::eek: 10k!

You're the first on the leader board! Well done.

Ok now you have to help us noobs. What's your secret? I mean you've got skills obviously but there must be something else too. What's with the team Hugo king? Are they really strong together? What gems do you use?

Do you have all the pandora cards already? I tryed using Hugo and king but I just can't get used to the moves of the tekken's character and I turn to use Hugo the same way I use zangief in volt. Is that right?

sfxt on the mobile is a very different game :D SRK doesn't agree with you on that. :D

Just to reiterate, so nobody should ever go with impressions from the console version (why sfxt here's different)

    1. You only have one life bar, it recovers faster too unlike the console version.

    2. Pandora's mechanics are different (unlike console, you don't automatically lose... in most instances, pandora here is a legit comeback mechanic... life regen, eliminates risk of hard-tagging back, don't forget the damage boost)

    3. You can cancel chains into specials, however, some moves lost this as well (i.e ryu's sweep on block was virtually safe in the console because you could dash cancel out of it... ryu doesn't have that here... kazuya can end his chain into an electric so it stays even safer). In the console version, chains can only be cancelled into ex moves, costing you one meter.

    4. You can't do combos where both of your characters are on screen at the exact same time. It's quite sad really, since in the console version, you could tag your character in during law's multi-punch move and charge a super for just one meter.

    5. Tagging is very risky in this game. If, while controlling your partner with no meter, he gets damaged or even chipped... he's gonna hard tag back into your 1st character. If this happens because of a combo that ends up in a knockdown, the opponent can simply charge his super and hit you on the way back.

    6. You can use currency to improve your current "gem" setup, which as of now, only activates by a certain chance when you do tag combos (again, in the console version, there were different conditions). The main difference here, of course, is that while the gems become increasingly powerful, the condition for their activation still remains the same. In the console version, you'd either have to trade better effects with substantially greater requirements (i.e landing more hits for the offense-related gems, or sacrificing gem space)

I have another question. I played 5 times in a row against the same person. He lost the 5 games, does it means that he had 5 coins? Can you get coin without buying them?

Who would spend money in the gold in app purchase stuff? I mean you can spend up to 80 dollars that's twice the price of the game on console.
