I have a question for voloster, I saw you were on top tree this morning an I was wondering what two players are your favorite in this game? Also do you guys its possible already to make a tier list or is it too early?
I was messing around with Nina and paul in Training mode and I came to a similar conclusion. The SF characters seem easier to use (at least Guile and Hugo) but the TEkken characters seem to have more combo potential. True fact. You left just as I was coming into the chatroom last night, are you avoiding me? So far I can see this game being really turtely, especially with the timer moving so quickly. You could get a life lead with your main character and switch to your backup to preserve the main's life lead as the timer runs out and there's really nothing your opponent could do about it to win at that point.
I play King/Hugo, I play Abel/Hugo on consoles but always messed around with King as a secondary point character so it was a pretty effortless transition for me.
I've noticed that this can be a big problem as well. I had hoped there was some kind of answer for it but so far I haven't figured anything out. I suck at this game though so that doesn't count for much.
SF Volt runs perfectly on the iPhone 4, how is the performance of this game on iPhone 4? Second question, App Spy gave this 5/5 but said achievements have problems syncing.. I remember reading new the beginning of this thread that there were no achievements for Game Centre? Thanks in advance.
I dont really understand how the pandoras box thing work. Every box has 3 the same effects. For example 3 lines with +10% power increase for 10 seconds. Why 3 the same effects to select? And how to unlock new levels of boxes? Thanks in advance!
The netcode on this game is horrible... The game itself is great, and tbh, kinda an improvement (enginewise) on the original. I prefer this to the console version.
I wish I could like Nina plays like in Tekken. I know all her moves by heart. These are drastically different. Namco are you listening: Tekken 3 to the iPad please? (Soul Calibur Port was magnificent you see).
Yes. That one other user is disappointed, and had the same idea for a nickname as you. There might be a problem with your device. On my iPhone 4, one of the oldest devices that can actually run the game, the game is wonderfully smooth, with plenty of frames per animation.
Really? iPhone 4S with iOS 6.0, and the game isn't smooth at all. The game is cool, but sound quality sucks TOO much.
Umm no.. I played the game on an iPhone4S and iPhone4, not much difference frame wise.. My comparison with SFVolt stems from this.. When SFVolt slows due to net lag, you can REALLY see the details: Fei Long's face changes with each stage of rakka-ken, Zangief's face chances as he gathers for SPD, when I hit Ken during lag I see his hair whip back.. SFVolt can slow due to net lag, BUT the frames of detail are abundant.. With SFxT it really feels there are some frame of animation missing.. Case in point King's low kicks, it's like there are only 3 frames of animation: start, middle, end.. I don't really see his leg extending or retracting.. The sprites in SFVolt are SOLID and RICH.. The animation in Tekken is not smooth, it's lacking frames (as my example of a flip-book).. When you get hit, there's no drawn out recoil, you just see the guy strobe into 1 or 2 hit frames of animation.. Playing SFVolt is like watching a Pixar film, playing SFxT is like looking at a flip book cartoon.. SFxT = FIGHT FIGHT Revolution, it's a rhythm game in the guise of a fighting game..
New boxes are unlocked when you level up on ranked. As for the effects, the roulette will pick one of them or none at all.
So I finally got around to playing, and noticed two of my favorite Tekken characters aren't available. Please somebody tell me there is a way to unlock Lei Wulong and Forest Law
See, the word smooth is too subjective. Some people find 20 frames a second to be perfectly smooth while some people need 60 fps. But I do agree the game can be smoother. Go play soul calibur on iOS and come back and tell me sf x tekken is as smooth.
Thanks for the answer. I have a feeling that tekken players have more over head moves and some of them unblockable. I mean I haven't understand all the technics yet but I don't get why I still get smashed sometimes while turtling.??!
By the way, I would DIE to play you on sf x t my gc I'd is (houmous) I live in Spain so maybe we will have to arrange it but if you want easy bp then come destroy me! You already did it with your fei long on sfvolt I think I only won one game if not zero. But I rather lose against beast player than pretending to be good against noob.
Do you know why this game is GREAT? Because the real nice player are on the REAL top five like voloster and psxsquall, I mean from the one I know. Well done guys, you deserve . Ps: I'm 51 in the world lol and I only played a few hours! My wife took my phone away lol. I almost her life though. I keep player until I lose all my coin to go to bed but I keep winning and it's late now... I feel like playing in real arcade room I actually don't mind the time limitation, it's like an advice : fighting games are demanding, have rest and then come back.
Lol the last four post are from me. THIS IS MYYYYYYYYYYYYY THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to stay here you're gonna have to listen to your new king. News coming Soon, my mum wants me to go to eat. WouahahahahHahah
