OMG... I'm soo looking forward to this, I can't believe we get proper 3D backdrops now... in the video it looks a lot more polised than it did in the first screenshots from E3. I just hope we get more characters for the line up.... 10 would be really stingy! I'm expecting at least double!!! A lot of negative comments on the YouTube vid, but my guess is they're probably console gamers with their own personal grievance against Capcom and no doubt the DLC malarky.
LOL DUDE. What made me laugh so hard is that Hugo's height actually surpass the Health bar. That dude is huge man
Only 10 chars is a shame, capcom give us at least 20 chars, so with the update chars will be 24-26 but 10 are stingy!
Another thing I hope they do is add options to downsize the onscreen controls. just because I'm playing on a bigger screen doesn't mean I want x2 oversized controls.... I would prefer if they kept the controls the size of the iPhone/iPod version of street fighter.
It makes no sense to release dlc after the game! Capcom must release full game! I'll pay 15 bucks like square titles!
Another thing, when I've watched video demos of SFXT on consoles and the vita, I've noticed the characters have a certain glow around them as they fight... Is this just graphical art differences or a feature lack on ios?
None of the iDevices are able to output what is on a console and maintain that framerate. Infinity Blade II manages around 20-24FPS (occasionally 30) with a good resolution (cutting off good amounts of pixels off the top and bottom to allow for faster processing), but this game has to maintain that resolution and a constant framerate, so it can't do that. Plus, you're already sacrificed a lot in a 3D fighter to drop the 60FPS that allows for a lot of technical play.
Right, I get ya. Basically our idevices aren't powerful enough. A shame really, as the art style of SFxT does seem quite distinctive; what with the neon glow and dark outlines surrounding the characters. So far from what I've seen Capcom mobile have managed to make a good attempt at pulling it off. ...anyway, graphics aside, lets hope to see more than 10 fighters in the line up!
Graphic seems very good, but is not a big effort, only 2 characters to render and the stage like infinity blade, a 3GS too can render this game easily!
This should get me the ideas of what this game would be like on the vita.. Caz I hear all these bs Dlc characters not able to play on ps3 and Xbox that's why I didn't even bother buying it for the console yet
Let's put this into perspective. You don't understand this: Infinity Blade can run at framerate below 30FPS because has limited movement and simple inputs. It's not too complex, and it won't hinder the game in any way, turning down the framerate. Street Fighter already suffers when you put it at 30FPS. When it's in 2D, it's fine, that technology uses frameskips and such to avoid issues like that. However, the 3D games don't have that luxury, and thus, they suffer for it. The 60FPS is crucial to learning the perfect timing to nail combos, having responsive controls, etc. This game has reduced the graphical detail to allow for better control responsiveness and a higher framerate; however, it's most likely not going to be 60FPS. I'll check with Mr. Elston.
Wow, really? With the technology already present in Volt, I was hoping we'd see multiplayer at launch, but I had this nagging and apparently completely unfounded feeling we'd have to wait another year for a multiplayer version, much like with the original SFIV. I should learn to trust Capcom Mobile. They really have an excellent track record for iOS focus and support after SFIV. Finally I can play Hwoarang again (who just happens to be trained in the same style as I was when I first ventured into Taekwondo, long before the charms of MMA and street fighting became apparent to me. A shame I never learned to do that three spinning kicks in the air while bouncing on clouds or the body of your also airborne and juggled opponent technique in real life...), and for the first time ever (for me), against other people online. A shame all these years of not playing Tekken has instead, with the release of Volt, opened my eyes to the dubious charms of Yun, since he does not seem to be in any version of SF X Tekken... (Perhaps it has been posted in this thread already, but the Wikipedia entry for Street Fighter X Tekken features a list of characters confirmed for the iOS version.)
