Shakunetsu Hadouken is Akuma's Red fireball. I thought we were all of the opinion that Ryu is pretty damn good and if anything would need damage reductions... And you want to give him more damage? back+MK. Pretty much this. Her dash gives options against fireballs. So you can FA, dash back out and jump over the next one. The timing on Sagat's ultra is fairly strict. It can be quite easy to accidentally add a second dash in. The damage is more obnoxious and we don't want to punish people by making them miss. What do you mean it has too much range? How would you be caught on that from half a screen away, unless you are doing some massively unsafe move... Source on this? Can we actually confirm what health values are for the characters in Volt? Will add

And I don't remember if I said this, but more vertical hitbox for st.HP wouldn't hurt.
Just because a move trades doesn't make it a bad aa. There are other factors that make a good aa. For example, Cody's Jaw Crusher and Guile's st.MP are good as aa moves because of the range where the opponent lands after being hit with it.
Ugh, I just realized that I did all the work in training against Sagat's j.P, and that has an awful lot of active frames. That move trades with almost anything.
But only chars with great meterless reversals and FBs (except Zangief for obvious reasons) made it to the top. The rest of the characters need something to stand out too. Anyway, I'll still defend air invinc for Makoto's leg in cr.HK. It's not like that would break the move and she would be able to beat moves with many active frames.
We are talking about the main character of this game! If you wanna impress with an update at least have something to show off!! Ryu needs something to make his gameplay more wide varied, he's square in AE and he's 101010010010001001 in Volt!! Yes, he needs solar plexus.
I think you have the wrong idea if you think we're trying to impress. A balance update isn't glamorous at all, but it's a much needed part of the process to improve overall gaming experience
Look, unlike other characters Ryu is boring, most of us here would never main him because of how vanilla plain he is. Give him something new. It's especially important as other characters are being "AE-ified" and having new moves added. Also, I don't know if I already mentioned Guile changes? Change his combos: Remove flash kick FADC round house Include round house flash kick Much better, meter less, combo-orientated (rather than DP POWER) & AE-like.
Yeah, it is! Yo guys, what do you think if Ken could do Volt Combos in AE? Like landing full ultra 1 after srk, fadc, etc?
As I've already pointed out, GHK doesn't juggle people high enough AND you'll need to change the input for GHK
