It's not only edge of the screen, It works midscreen too, depends on the backdash. I don't think it's a problem. His overhead can be cancelled into his throw. I'm looking for someone else to support you on the Honda ideas...
About the sunglasses, I think a gesture or something would be better than down, down, SP. You know, he's a charging character, and while Cody didn't have any problems with down, down, SP, maybe Guile will have some. Press mid screen for sunglasses, and shake the device for taunt (this for every character)?
Shake for taunt would be pretty good. You'd need to give it a hefty shake so it's not accidental. FLASH KICK, FADC, *shakes screen* ohhhh yeaaaaaaaaaah
Change stand high punch or just add stand close mid punch. If its added forwad P would be high punch. Reason is he needs a better combo starter. None of his combo starters have good range.
A huge improvement concerning graphics could be retina display support. Street Fighter Volt HD! It would be amazing!!!
Why not something like MvC2. Animated backgrounds in 3D like in the console version and 2D no-retina sprites. Just for enabling retina in a game, graphics that aren't even retina look clean. The filesize was small and it looked better than Volt.
I wouldn't mind Ultras being one button if they didn't do so much damage. But as it is, you press one button and if it connects, you just did 50% damage. I agree that SP Assist is a must for this game but I still feel like some of the commands could use an update if we were to get a new app. I know that this is a different game from AE (and there are characters that have lower execution barriers) but even AE nerfed Ultra damage somewhat.
You actually have quite a bit of time between the time you hit the standing punch and the time you have to hit U+K.
But it's still the same time with or without pressing the joystick. BTW, another thing that should be added is changing VA without changing the language of the game.
Ultra version is going to be release in early 2014 so I expect an iOS version for summer 2014, a new app with the changes and at least 5-6 new chars with hd graphics!!
I was thinking about this comment this morning for some reason, and I think it's true for right now. Fei is solid and fair, but that makes him mid tier in this game. But I bet we are going to be recommending nerfs to all the top characters (Sagat, Viper, Bison). So you have to consider that the top end is being brought down. It's not that Fei needs to match Sagat right now, he just has to match him after all the changes. I think Fei could use some slight buffs, but nothing big that would significantly change his gameplay. We should be trying to get all the characters to somewhere around high-A tier, low S-tier. Bring down the SS top tier chars, and bring the B-tiers up. Fei is mid/low A-tier. He only needs slight buffs.
You can be more sepcific about the slight buffs. Giving him a better anti-air like his stand close high kick. More damage. Safer Rekka. Add stand mid P for a better combo starter. Jump high kick. This will not change his gameplay but will give him an edge and even with all these changes he might only be High A or Low S EDIT: Safer Rekka might be too much.
Agreed capt. I guess what I was opposed to was a free link to ultra after tenshin. His ultra deals really good damage, but he currently has no way to link into the full version. Giving him that is too much IMO, it greatly increases his overall damage output and makes his meaties and frame traps much more effective, because people will not be comfortable blocking against him.
What do you guys think about giving Fei's Ultra armor break properties? Is that too much for him? His ultra already has some other holes (not efficient ways to connect full ultra on combo, it's BAD if you want to chip).
