I'm honored that i've been asked for Cody tips I keep index and middle finger on the 4 buttons, usually with middle finger on the sp button for the ex zonk knuckle combos. But i'd only use two finger gameplay depending on how you will use Cody. I combo anything I can with zonk knuckle, so I keep that charged. I don't think tenonez uses zonk knuckle as much so he probably plays regularly
How does this help with 4cr light kicks lol.. i tried spamming the button, that doesnt work either... haha
So, slrc91 and I have been playing some very fun matchups. If you get bored or just want to take the edge off you should try some of your own: Bison - Bison: No jumping at all Guile - Guile: No jumping at all Ryu - Ryu: No SRK Zangief - Zangielf: No Jumping at all, no command grabs, no lariat viper - viper (neither of us know how to use her with SP assist even): No SP Asisst haha these were so fun
There are 60 frames per second in the game. And the window for input is 2 frames, let's say Frame 9 to 10. ........XX.................................................. Well, imagine you can hit the button 7 times in a second. So when you're mashing, you can get in 7 presses, but that's once every 8 frames. You can almost see it as follows: ......K......K......K......K......K......K......K.... That's 7 Presses within 60 "spaces" There's still a good chance that you're missing By plinking MK + LK 7 times instead, you'll get inputs like this: ......KK.....KK.....KK.....KK.....KK.....KK.....KK.... You're doubling up your chances to hit that window. The following shows which Priority "order": HK > HP > MK > MP > LK > LP So when you plink MK + MP, you'll get MK coming out. When you plink MP + LP, MP will come out. MP + LK, MP will come out. So if you need a LK, then by plinking LK+LP, you can double your chance at getting that small window for Light Kick. Anyone else, feel free to correct me if I've completely messed things up. edit: i'm not sure if LK + LP can be plinked without a toss getting thrown instead.
The Chapel was awesome when I first joined. It was like me, Hero, Peklo, Alis, and a few others. It was really small but we all had an awesome time. As it grew then it got kinda bad and once LoS was announced, then it was like the nail in the coffin. And thank you for the recommendation, I really appreciate it! I'm checking out your page as we speak! Hehe, well good! Yeah, my music's country, but usually we get people who say, "I don't like country music but I love y'all's tunes!" But thank you sir, I really appreciate the kind words! The chick, is actually my girlfriend Aubryn. www.aubrynmelody.com i don't even think it's a matter of making the moves less powerful really (because then the matches take too long and it gets boring. It's a matter of doing the scaling in an intelligent way which they definitely didn't do in this game. I think if there was a dipswitch you could use to take Ultras out, it would improve a lot of things about the game in my mind (especially in Volt where one-button Ultras are the rule.) They take away a character's options and are far too powerful for how easily they can be performed.
Thanks for the info, Mooken. I am really good at finding stuff on web, was just lazy. Appreciate your foot work. I will try this when I get home, I understand the theory now... sounds promising. Sounds like it will totally change my entire game play if it works the way I am thinking too... I think if you have perfect timing on one right after the other, almost simutaneualy, should be able to avoid throw? I will let you know my results tonight.
I've also been lazy about finding out about plinking, although i've been wondering about the term for about 3-4 days now. The timing worked out. Hopefully SFxT also has plinking implemented -- I think SF4 vanilla was the first game to feature plinking (as defined by priority + duplicate inputs). Prior to that, i think people used "plinking" to mean piano-ing, where you're tapping buttons like playing a piano, in order to get things like kara-throws out in 1-frame cancels.
Damn Berserker_2nd, you have a great Sagat. I can't play with you as I use to play with most Sagats. Maybe I'm tired of volting all day, but man... You owned me hard. I must be a little more patience
He admits defeat! Make sure you screen shot this page and put it on your resume, Beserker, he ain't gonna let you do that again
Good games, dude. So far u r the best guile I met, and don't be humble man, we got even today. Sorry I have some dodgeball game later and have to go. Thanks for those games.
Haha I think I should do it now, actually slrc_91 was in winning streak before I left. I'm sure if we continued, he gonna win more.
Yeah but don't discount Berserk. I think he's every bit as good as the best Sagats out there. Top 2 or 3 for sure and on any given day, one of them will get the hot hand and be the best. Whats really impressive is that he grinds in rankings and if he just uses Sagat, can maintain a 3.5 -4k BP. Gonna have to call him S-tier for sure soon
I've played his Sagat, it is for sure up there with the good ones. Good blocking, patience, and has that retarded combo down every single time lol... I was talking to slrc.. I'm thinking that if you had to manual input it would be more fair, for all characters. Being able to uppercut, press F, Then K, then ultra and do almost 3/4 HP depending on situation is just a little crazy, especially because if your as skilled as Beserk, once you connect the uppercut its almost impossible to miss your ultra.. but think, after you FADC, you get a kick, then have to do two quarter circles or something, at least it would be the timing a tiny bit trickier...
I agree but you just can't pull it off consistently on a virtual stick. A charge character is inherently a little easier to pull off specials on a virtual stick vs. someone like a Gief with a full circle movement I'm not denying SLRC is amazing...the best Guile on Volt and he's proven he can pull off move execution without SP assist on almost any character. No denying he is S-tier.
Man, full circles are hard to do on a real stick LOL (without jumping anyway) I know what you mean though.... virtual stick makes it tough lol... Yeah Beserk is good, his bison is pretty good too!
Gief isn't too bad, he's easier on the vpad than he was on the SNES controller. forward, down, back, upback + P gets piledrivers without jumping. the double circles definitely harder for his super/revenge is infinitely harder.
SP assistant, manual inputs and ultras will be always polemical topics. Of course, a charge character has the advantage when you're playing without SP assistant. But I don't feel it's a biiiiig problem for a non-charge character to pull off moves without SP assistant in online enviroment. About the ultras is almost the same. We don't use shortcut ultras because of the bad timing, we use shortcut ultras to make sure the ultra will connect. The hardes ultras to pull off aren't from non-charge characters. Guile and Vega are the hardest to manually do in online enviroment. And well... Guile has one of the less useful ultras, so I don't feel like I can talk about Sagat's or the manual imput.
